Get the Gossip on the 'Roady' bag

gossip-girl-roady-bag.jpgNot since Sex and the City has a TV series prompted so much shoe and bag lust as Gossip Girl and the latest arm candy to leap from our screens and into our hearts is the Yves Saint Laurent 'Roady' bag, pictured above.

The classic hobo makes its debut in episode 12 of season 3, to the awe and wonderment of the show's main characters - and it's been having a similar effect on audiences in the States ever since. Kylie Minogue, Mary-Kate Olsen and Rihanna are also big fans of the bag, and have all been spotted wearing it in recent weeks. Rendered in black, the bag is timeless chic, for everyday or evening wear.

Want it? Prices start at £735 depending on fabric choice at Yves Saint Laurent

Kate Moss rocks YSL's Le Sixième in Paris

kate-moss-ysl.jpg[Image: FabSugar]

Stop the presses! Kate Moss has just gained a new addition to her family...her YSL bag family, that is, as the eternally stylish model was spotted hopping between shoes in Gay Paree this week with a smart, chic Le Sixième clutch by YSL.

There's so much to love about this bag I don't know where to start. First off, it's that wonderful, achingly smart shade of slate gray that is actually composed of hundreds of tiny pebble-like spots that give it a charmingly dappled effect. The chain is interesting: not following the ubiqitous chanel-style model but taking on an irregular hoop pattern with rings of different sizes. Then there's the nailed-down silver clasp which gives it an all-over toughness. In summary, it's perfect for Kate Moss!

£1,145 at Net-a-Porter

Yves Saint Laurent cage clutch

ysl_cage_clutch.jpg
Steph Powell writes...

After all the hype and copies of the Yves Saint Laurent cage shoes floating around the high street, I hadn't even realised they made a cage bag too! Silver and black (although I know it looks gold in the photo) this clutch radiates that signature YSL edge.

This bag would be perfect if you want to get in on the cage trend, but don't want to have the same shoes as everyone else. Get it from Browns for the low low price of £1,640!

BAG COUSINS? YSL 'Easy Y' and Dialog fabric ruffles bag

bagcousins_ysl_easy_y_dialog_ruffles.jpg

I don't know if Yves Saint Laurent have a copyright on the 'Y' stitching that is so often a feature on their bags. But whether they do or not, any other bag brand should know that by adding one, they are instantly adding a signature YSL touch. Dialog have done something admittedly very straightforward and hardly imaginative (we mean this in a good way... as in, they probably didn't go out to actually copy), still we couldn't help but see the 'Easy Y' tote in our head when we spied this fabric ruffles bag. Cute bag and you definitely wouldn't mistake it for YSL - but bag rellies for sure.

BAG COUSINS? Yves Saint Laurent Tribute tote and Forever 21 stone quilt tote

bagcousins_ysl_tribute_forever21_stonequilt.jpg

Not that it's any surprise Forever 21 have gone and done an "inspired-by" of one of bag-land's It-est bags, but an Yves Saint Laurent classic... really?

Let's just say the Forever 21 version is the Tribute's slightly tacky, younger copycat cousin - you know, the one with chipped nail varnish and lippy on her teeth... she is lovable, but kind of a mess quite frankly. The faux "stone quilt" leather can't really compare to the Tribute's purty quilted patent leather but I guess for $38.80, you're not really going to quarrel, are you?

GUESS THE OWNER: YSL Downtown patent leather tote

ysl_downtown_guesswho.jpg

You know with a bag such as this one on their arm, this gal must be one serious fashionista! The YSL Downtown tote in black patent leather is one 'It' bag that first of all, fully deserves its status as being majorly covetable, but also has somehow managed to stand the test of time, unlike other 'It' bags who have saturated the market. The most interesting thing is it has done all of this despite the lady who is bearing this bag being the leader of the fashion pack - where she goes, we all follow. A remarkable feat for a bag. So who is this stylish senorita?

This one is easy peasy - check after the jump to see if you're right.
