Shiny Shiny and Kiss & Makeup ed Zara is renowned around Shiny Towers for discovering the cool, the quirky and the plain weird (especially when it comes to jewellery). No surprises then when she tweeted about this um, interestingloo roll necklace the other day and put the question out there that we were all wondering ourselves: "would you wear this?". So... would you? Is it fun or just a wee bit filthy?
I'm hoping just because it's been pictured on young Hollywood starlet Vanessa Hudgens, it won't sway you to vote either which way when it comes to this JJ Winters suede zip bag. Not so long ago I featured a bag which went a tad overboard with the tassels (I liked it anyway - even though most of you didn't), and this week I have a bag which has gone a bit zip-crazy. It's definitely trend-driven and that can often make or break a bag because if it's possibly only going to be around one season, it will divide opinion very quickly. What are your thoughts? We're a day early with this week's Yay or Nay, but when I came across pictures on Twitter (thanks @pattyhuntington and @sassybella!) of these um, women's items being used as jewellery at Antipodium during Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, I couldn't help but bring the voting a day forward. Obviously high in the shock value stakes, once you've got your head around the thought of wearing sanitary bits around your neck, do you think this is clever and quirky or crass and a great big NO? Vote below.
Our regular Yay or Nay feature doesn't usually fall on Mondays (look out for it on Wednesday y'all), but since we found this opinion-dividing picture of Mischa Bartongalavanting around London in a feather cap over the weekend, we decided to make an exception and post a poll up today anyway. I'm a bit of a fence-sitter with this one I have to say. I think I quite like the idea of it, but am either unsure of this particular one or am unsure of this particular one on Mischa (although if anyone can wear a feather headdress, it's Mischa Barton). What do you reckon? Have your say in the poll below.
As you know, tassels and fringing are shaping up to be big bag trends for this season and the next one (and yes, probably the next too). Personally, I can't seem to get enough of it, but is there such a thing as TOO much tassel-y goodness? This bag by London design duo Borba Margo is quite frankly the perfect one for addressing this question - when you look at it, do you think "genius" or "gee whiz, that is one ugly bag"? I'm in the genius camp, but how about yourself? Vote in our poll below and let me know!
One look at this Jimmy Choo bag and all I can think of is: beach (oh, and summer). From the obvious shell print, to the pretty pleats and gold snake head decorating the handles, it is definitely an eye-catching design - but eye-catching in a good way or not so good? I can't lie - it wouldn't be my first choice bag, that's for sure. But it's not bad either so I'll be ticking the third box below due to my undecided-ness. Let me know your thoughts though, it might sway me! Vote in the poll below.
Still looking rather red and tender are the earlobes of Kate Moss. She had her ears pierced all the way up the cartilage last week and by the looks of it, they've still got some way to go before healing. Ouch! Kate has her fashion followers, certainly, and many a fashionista would say she can do no wrong when it comes to dressing and accessorising. But do you like her most recent step towards accessorising (and would you wear these yourself?) or do you think it looks, well, a bit icky? Vote below.
