The fashion for sunglasses at the moment (and for a few seasons already), is for retro or retro-inspired shapes - but is there a limit to how retro you can go? There are plenty of peeps who would be daring enough to wear some of these extreme frames pictured above, I'm interested to know whether any of the Linda Farrow Vintage shades appeal - vote below and/or drop me a comment to let me know!
I'll admit it right now: I've never shopped in Karen Millen (and this isn't me having a go as I know plenty of people who do). So perhaps that little fact might have some bearing on why this zebra print tassel bag does not exactly appeal to my taste. However, I can imagine for those hordes of Millen fans who do regularly frequent the stores, this bag will be the kind of design that fits in perfectly with their pretty block-colour dresses and sophisticated work shirts. Are you in Team Millen and do you like this bag? Vote and let me know!
Congratulations Fendi - you've managed to go almost five months without landing one of your bags on the chopping block (otherwise known at The Bag Lady's weekly Yay or Nay feature!)
But here you are Fendi - well, actually, here is one of your designs: the multi-coloured F-logo canvas bag, in all its clashing colour glory. I guess if you wanted to look at it from one angle, it could be comparable to a Louis Vuitton Multicolore Monogram in concept, but I'm afraid (in my humble opinion at least), it may just be closer to a Dooney & Bourke if that close-up is anything to go by. As you can probably tell, I'm not really a fan. But I can imagine there will be a number of you who are. Let me know which camp you're in by voting below!
Jimmy Choo bags end up quite often frequenting my Yay or Nay posts and I'm guessing that's because most of the time, they're made from elaborate materiaIs and often have crazy colour combinations which makes it hard for me to decide whether I like them or hate them. I guess I then expect that my indecisiveness will be counteracted by the rest of you feeling strongly one way or the other and it will help me make a decision once and for all. Well, here we are again kiddos, with this electric blue/purple, leopard-print, ponyskin, snakeskin-trimmed (phew!) tote. Is it a case of too much going on, or do you think it's got the true air of luxury? Vote below and let me know (and help me make up my mind!)
Ah, sequins. They can be oh so glam but they can also be oh so tacky. It's a thin line. Personally, I love a bit of sequinning (is that even a word?) from time to time - you can see evidence of that here - but even I can see where that line has been overstepped, and I'm afraid to say, I think this Linea sequin shopper bag is teetering on the edge of that. Is it the type of sparkly glamour that you can get away with as a tote on the beaches of Europe or is it all sorts of tacky and wrong in any scenario? Vote below and let me know your thoughts!
Okay, forgetting maps for a second and back to the bag: it's handmade, fashioned from blue lamb leather and snakeskin and is adorned with Swarovski crystals, beads and other sparkly jewels. Question is, is it luxe and unusual or scary and an eyesore? Vote and let us know!
Is it just me or does this handbag by Francesco Biasia look like it's come off second best in a bar brawl? Actually, considering it's white calf leather and an Italian design, it was more likely pulverised by a mallet on the polo field or something a bit more... posh. Forzieri reckon it has got a "romantic style" with "soft lines and emphasized volumes" - do you agree or do you think it looks beaten up? Is it a Yay in your opinion, or a Nay? Vote below!
