Colleen Rooney's Filofax beach chic

colleen-rooney-filofax.jpgIt's clearly hard work being a WAG...all those amazing designer pieces to keep track of, the plane tickets, those endless lunch appointments...I'm drawing a blank on what else could possibly be keeping her diary so bloated, but judging by the size of that Filofax Colleen Rooney's toting, it must be quite the busy life!

My Filofax has quickly become an essential item on my travels, but I have to admit I haven't taken it with me on holiday yet. Perhaps (and come on, we're all allowed a slight bitchy streak on a Monday) it's meant as a distraction from the swimwear, which looks like it might well have come from one of the cheaper supermarkets? Colleen - please put an appointment with a maker of quality bikinis in your diary!

Spring greens at Comme des Garcons

comme-des-gars-green.jpgGreen isn't a colour we tend to associate with accessories much, and while it can be a difficult colour to match for larger items, there are some lovely spring-like shades available that will fit beautifully inside your more versatile black or beigey number.

Comme des Garcons still make the chicest purses around, and get the look spot on even when they're making a simple coin purse like this one. Guaranteed to brighten up your luggage look, this purse will remind you that despite what you're seeing outside the window, not everything has died!

Billy Bag photo frame keyring

photo-keyring.jpgI'm not usually a sucker for novelty keyrings, but when there's obvious quality involved and a cool idea, I'm game. At least, that's my excuse for loving this miniature photo frame bag charm from Billy Bag, which will clip neatly on to your handbag, allowing you to carry with you a picture of your loved one, family member or dog at all times.

Also available in dark brown, the real leather frame has a double compartment and high quality large-sized ring for secure attachment. Small leather goods lust is brewing within us yet again...

Your passport to a happy new year...

pass1.jpgFeeling a bit cooped up after five days with the family? Dreaming of escaping the grey skies and heading out somewhere sunny? If so, you can have an awful lot of fun dressing up your passport, even if it's likely to be grounded for at least the next few weeks...

Shown above is 'First Class', £9.95 at What's About Town, and Anne Taintor's 'we all have our baggage' cover, £7.50 in the House of Fraser sale.

pass2.jpgBut for those who really want to take to the skies or sea in style, I absolutely love these beautifully crafted cases: on the left is one of Josey Wales' Luxury Leather cases, £35 at Not on the High Street, and on the right is Caeser Liberty Print passport cover, £32 at Liberty

Small Leather Goods: a very girly gift from Killah

killah-purse.jpgThere's just about time to order online for Christmas, so if you're struggling to find a gift for a friend or relative who doesn't mind a bit of pink, this cute purse is bound to make 'em 'squee'. It's a dusty, powdery shade of pink that will match up delightfully with the spring and summers pale candy pastels and neutrals, and the little tassel charm adds interest.

purse-interior.jpg
It's the interior that really gets me though: the gold leather is just so kitsch and OTT, but it's of obvious great quality at the same time. Check out all those slots for credit cards, and a nice big window pocket is always a bonus.

£35 at ASOS

Black spot wallet by Comme des Garçons

comme-des-gars.jpgMore wallet lust is coming at us today, courtesy of this beautifully minimalist purse at Comme des Garçons. A smart, unisex style, it's the sort of thing I can imagine carrying around with me for many years to come and there's absolutely nothing it would clash with.

Made from high shine leather with a regular big-spot embossed effect, it's everything we've come to expect from this oh-so-chic label. I wish I could bring myself to part with the £155...can you?

Brown's Main Line multicolour wallet

multicolour-wallet.jpgI've been in the market for a wallet for so long I can't even remember the last time I bought one. Yes, I'm fussy, but something about the cost/size ratio of small leather goods pushes all my indecision buttons. Here's an important thing I'll be handling every single day, which I want to ensure is good quality but do I really want to spend more on it than my handbag cost? If that wasn't enough to be wavering over there's also the fact that most of them are just so boring.

That's why I've picked out this one. Pure businesslike chic from the outside, it's a smart and matchable black wallet with an interior that has far more to say for itself. You credit cards and travel passes sit prettily within its folds, which are a riot of colour that will have you flashing your wad (or lack of one) at every opportunity. Probably only one for the be-wadded shopping, this wallet is £205 from Browns
