Coccinelle make some gorgeous pieces, and I'm loving this small-sized handbag new in at John Lewis, which is a seriously handy shape made up in gorgeous soft leather.
The 'blush' colour is ideal for spring, with a slightly pearlescent shine that causes the gaze to linger. But the bag is also available in black for those looking for a more classically matchable accessory.

This BParis shoulder bag from Faith is a smooth looking classic clutch, with a nice bit of detail reminiscent of some of the Fiorelli bags. The black and chain strap gives it pickupability, or you can just pop the strap in and use it as a chic clutch.
The ivory colour fits in nicely with this season's trend for all things nude, and has just enough room for a camera and confetti (for all those summer weddings)

Reiss have done a lovely job here of interpreting the woven style that's dominating the spring/summer look. Whether you prefer a highly matchable black bag or want to go for the more fashion-forward dual colour weave, you'll end up with a highly versatile, very current accessory that I think looks much like a designer buy.
Aside from its obvious high fashion influences, this bag just seems super useful with it's slouchy shape and room interior. Definitely a good investment for the spring/summer period and beyond.

We're used to seeing riotous colour in Matthew Williamson's designs, but I think this is possibly the soberest piece I've seen from the exuberant designer yet! That's not to say it doesn't evoke the same feelings of leisurely walks along sunny beaches: it's just not quite as loud as some.
Tassels are still in this season, which is great news for anyone who likes to play with their accessories. There are two seriously stroky appendages on this bag, which could turn out to be a nailbiter's dream! The sunny yellow gold buckle is a winning touch, too.

It's sometimes hard to imagine how a bag - particularly one that's quite a show-stopper in its own right - will look once it's positioned on an actual body. Kelly Osborne has provided us with a canvas in this case, as she hits the street in Marc Jacobs fluorescent tweed shoulder bag - an item I have to admit I was not convinced by in isolation.
I actually think Kelly wears this bag rather well, and despite its generous smattering of gigantic gems, the accessory does not appear to dominate. Instead, it provides a welcome touch of colour in a mostly monochrome ensemble.

See by Chloe seem to be hitting all the right spots at the moment. You can't go too far wrong with a cherry slouch bag like this one; stylishly adorned with triangular zip pulls and a pom-pom that just screams 'play with me now!'
Ideal for a city chic or nautical look, this bag is soft, it's funky and like all See By Chloe accessories, it's not unaffordable to those willing to save for a little luxury. If it's still there by early spring, I'm so there.

There are some fantastic floral prints available at the moment and it's a style we're going to be seeing much more of in the spring. But my favourite flowery piece from the high street by far has got to be this cute cross-body bag from New Look.
It has that lovely, sunny combination of tan and brights, with a pattern that's just a little bit Cath Kidston without the price tag. In fact, this bag will only set you back a tenner - a world of difference from some of the designer styles that inspired it!
