While most folks were busy getting an eyeful of the new Chanel arrivals at the Nordstrom Chanel Trunk Show, I wandered over to the big, red 'Reduced!' bin and rifled through its selection. I came up with two Botkier 'Trigger' east west satchels, in stiff gold metallic leather (left) and sooooft black lambskin (much like the aqua green on the right.) The east west satchel reminds me a bit of the Balenciaga motorcycle bags, like the 'Bauletto' , with that curved top, stark zipper lines, and pin straight tassles. While I wasn't too fond of the gold, I was smitten by the soft feel of the black lambskin, and I thought the size was perfect for me. Both were down from US$610 to US$304.90! In other words, I could not resist. I succumbed. My first catch of the day! Was I able to call it a day and stop myself from more shopping? Stay tuned!

Originally, I was supposed to accompany mummy dearest to a Chanel Trunk Show because she wanted a preview of the new Chanel shoes coming in to Nordstrom. (Ahoy, Shoewawa!) Of course, we got side-tracked immediately and veered off to the HUGE designer handbag selection that'll soon be going on sale, and I fell in love about six times in a row! If you're a Nordstrom fanatic like me, stop by and ask your local handbag salesperson about which designer handbags are going on sale... Some already are! I spotted soft Lanvin lambskin totes for US$700 off (now US$1095), Chanel satchels for 20% off, and a whole mess of Botkier bags with a 30% discount. Yum!

Let’s be honest ladies, we all love a bargain, don’t we? Especially when that bargain has Dior written all over it. Actually, the bag itself, the St. Germain mini flap bag, has CD written on it, on a silver metal plaque on the front flap of this tan leather bag (eLUXURY calls it gold, I call it tan). The bag is US$529, down from US$805 from eLUXURY. Also available is a matching purse, the St. Germain double face continental wallet, US$430, which, sadly, is not in the sale.

Oh joy! Koobas on sale! I can hardly contain myself. Check out the popular Annie leather shoulder bag by Kooba, available in camel at Saks Fifth Avenue for a reduced US$436.90 (down from US$625.) It is also available at Bluefly for US375 in black, as well as oak. I know theres a lot of 'Annie' incarnations out there, but I like this messenger bag style best. It seems practical and hides the corset detail pockets, giving it an uncluttered appearance. But...while I usually expect Koobas to feature soft, wonderfully conditioned leather, the Annie is actually rather stiff. I guess harder leather suits the corset ties on the flaps and front pockets better. Hmmph.

All right, now, I know those look like railroad tracks, but its actually a Suzi Roher Metal & Restin stretch belt. Suzi Roher's made it to The Bag Lady's black list of ugly accessories before, but squint a little and give this belt another shot - I think its actually quite gorgeous! I can think of a bazillion outfits that this belt could dress up - a sleek shirt dress, a summery tunic, khaki cutoffs and a pair of espardilles, some low slung Rock and Republic jeans. Yum! US$289.90 from Saks Fifth Avenue, down from US$415.

Besides luxurious bags, nothing grabs my attention more than precious stones - especially unusually colored ones. This breath-taking Emily and Ashley pendant features a polished onyx pendant, deep and dark as night, and starry details made of gold and white sapphire. No one would ever know those tiny sparkles were anything other than crystal or diamond. It could be your little secret! And better yet, the pendant hangs on a delicate gold chain thats 18 inches long - long chains are yet another favorite collectible of mine. I'm pleased! On top of it all, this gorgeous bauble is on sale from Saks Fifth Avenue, for US$496.90, down from US$710.
