Most tote bags are fundamentally just glorified shopping bags. You can bung a swanky logo and brand name on the front of it, but it's still little more than a bag for life. This is the only one I've seen in a while that I'd make an exception for, as it's such a stylish and regal looking bag in its own right: perhaps that's why it's described as a 'tote handbag'? I can certainly imagine this becoming an every day appendage...
The little padlock detail is absolutely darling, and the red white and gold colour combo works so well. Let's here it for the Tamara Tote Handbag ;)

One of the highlights of LFW for the Bag Lady is always seeing what Mulberry will put on for the occasion, and a quick glance at our runways snaps will give you a pretty good idea: we'll all be going for gold next season!
The Jungle Book themed show with its lashings of grosgrain glitter was the perfect backdrop for the new collection, which includes big, bold animal print (yup, it's not going anywhere), bronze metallic Bayswaters (drool) and lots of variations on the Alexa satchel, which is becoming something of an it-bag. Can't wait to see this tactile and lovable range hit the stores!
Most bag ladies I know would be delighted at receiving any Mulberry gift this Valentines, but I've gotta admit that this one would really knock my socks off.
'Hayden' is a classic, rounded zip-around purse with a subtle vintage rodeo-style embroidery pattern and the word 'LOVE' emblazoned on the back. It's made from lambskin leather and carries a distinctive gold-coloured Mulberry plaque on the front. If you really want to spoil someone this Valentine's, there's still time to put in an order now...

Mulberry's newest clutch style - The Alexa - makes no secret of the inspiration behind its creation: British style icon Alexa Chung. The bag is a compact, fashion-forward style with an underlying traditional feel that's distinctively Mulberry, and it's available in two styles: peony pink shiny leopard (as above) and oak shiny leopard: a more sober but every bit as youthful variant on the pink.
It's easy to love this little bag, which is just so practical and stylish you can see it being a friend for life. Get saving now, and you could have this beauty on your arm by the summer!

Every time Fearne Cotton gets papped on the go, one of her handbags steals the show, and it seems to be happening on an alarmingly regular basis at the moment. But what's more striking is the fact that it's a different member of her Mulberry family grabbing the limelight every time.
This one, in particular, is a fine specimen: the metallic Bayswater is a joy to behold, and we can see why Fearne would want to show it off. The sandwich bag, on the other hand, we're not so sure about. Is this the latest accessory in recessionista chic?

It seems to be the week for celebrities proudly brandishing their handbags, and who can blame them? If I had such a fine specimen of a tote in my hand I'm sure I'd want to be holding it aloft at every possible opportunity, too.
T4's Jameela revealed herself as a big Mulberry fan this week at the launch of the label's Fashion Genius collection, created especially for Apple. The range, which will allow Mac users to carry their hardware around in utmost style and class, went on sale in Selfridges earlier this month and it features some absolutely incredible accessories for the seriously chic geek.

When people ask me why I'm a Mulberry nut, I tend to cite the wonderful colours and textures used by the brand to make up its iconic bags. They switch with the seasons, re-inventing the styles year after year with ever yummier shades and surfaces.
This new version of the Bayswater clutch is a good case in point: it's a great choice for winter, being beautifully reflective and shiny and a deep shade of blue that will look stunning on moonlit nights. And if the 'clutch' definition is confusing you, don't worry: the bag can go strapless for evening usage.
