This lovely bag from Miu Miu gets the balance just right between smart and businesslike chic and fun bag about town. The squishy leather certainly adds to the everyday wearability, and the shiny gold studs give a fashion twist.
Made from navy leather for a slight salute towards the miliarty, it's technically 'discount', but only in the Outnet sense of the word which means £345. Still, it's half price, which is not to be sniffed at in such an on-trend style!

If these delightful clutches from Miu Miu's spring 2010 taster are anything to go by, then I think we can expect something pretty special from the label in the new year. The wonderfully summery 'swallow' bag is the perfect match for a sundress and sandals combo, while the kitten bag is just too cute for words.
The cat and bird motifs run right through Miu Miu's ready-to-wear collection for 2010 and you can see how it appears on the clothing here. I've got to admit, I think I'd rather keep it minimal and on the accessories only - don't you agree?

The lucky ladies over at Grazia scored themselves a sneak peek of the Miu Miu Resort 2010 collection - jels!
There is lots to look forward to, including embellished straps in chunky jewels, brocades, quilting and metallic finishes. This particular style (pictured) will retail for £650... so pretty!
You still have to wait a few more weeks until they are available in November, but as the Grazia girls put it - they won't be around for long.

Pailletts are back! That's the sequin's larger and more fashion-snob-friendly cousin. Miu Miu have used them to embellish this lovely clutch bag, and I think the choice of colours is genius. The graduated reds and browns seem to mimic a sunset, or even the shadows cast by a slowly-rotating mirror ball in a sultry bar...
When seen from the side, the pailettes jut out from a solid gold-tone case and a long slim strap makes the bag easy to wear. I think this is a great antidote to all those oh-so-pretty but annoying-to-carry box clutches out there, and hope that a few more designers take heed of this more practical style.

If you're cruising for your next long-term bag relationship at the moment, Brand Alley are a good place to look for investment pieces at very reasonable prices. But not for long: the sale ends on 31st August, which gives you a handful of days to find your accessory soulmate.
I'm currently winking at this handsome pillar box red handbag by Miu Miu, which is reduced from £700 to £479. I come with a fair bit of 'baggage' myself, so I need a bag that's capable of taking that on board. Size isn't everything - but this one has it in spades, and with its fashionable gold clasp, it knows a thing or two about style, too.

I think I'm feeling in a particularly lovey-dovey, cheerful mood this afternoon because I'm still riding high on of my earlier Luella sample sale bargain purchase. I'm thinking this because when I saw this studded leather purse by Miu Miu just now, I had to really stop myself from cooing at it. Yes, actually cooing.
It's so pretty and yet so tough-looking all at the same time. The grey leather has a very cool, worn-in feel to it, while the burnished silver studs are just the icing on a really rather attractive cake. I love it and I know my stray coins and cards would love it too. It's £125 from Net-a-Porter.

So it's a wee bit of Miu Miu overload this week, what with this being my second post featuring a design by the Miuccia Prada-designed label (in my personal opinion though, there is no such thing as Miu Miu overload!) But when you see this bag and what it's going for in the ASOS sale, I'm sure you'll forgive me.
Down from £570 to £390, it's a classic shopper shape and the ruched leather looks as buttery soft as leather can be. This one is going to be very hard to resist!
