I heart Marc Jacobs, and I have big love for the Marc Jacobs small love clutch. Ok, that was a bad pun. Well, anyway, I do. It's made from metallic silver leather and covered in hearts of different sizes and textures.
Now for something I don't love: the price. It's available from Harvey Nichols for £495.
Considering the amount of posts I seem to write about watches (ie. not too many), the ratio of Marc by Marc Jacobs ones I've written about it seems rather high (I think this will be the second... or third). Oh well, the man does some interesting watches *shrug*
And this hexagonal cuff is particularly interesting, wouldn't you agree? Bold, chunky cuffs are very fashionable at the moment, but this one seems like it would stand the test of time with it's acetate body and stainless steel hardware. The fact that it combines a watch into the design seems almost secondary in a way, but is a great feature nonetheless! It's £150 from Net-a-Porter.
What could be better than a cute Marc by Marc Jacobs clear PVC beach bag? Well, a cute Marc by Marc Jacobs clear PVC beach bag which also comes with a M by MJ towel, a reversible sun hat and some branded flip-flops, that's what.
You'll have everything you need for the beach (bar some bathers and sunblock) when you take ownership of this adorable package - that's a lot of summer-friendly goodness for your moolah (which is £235, in case you were wondering). From Net-a-Porter.
Getting married? Congratulations. But are you planning to let your bag obsession follow you down the aisle? If so you're unusual, as for most brides-to-be, handbags come pretty low down the list of priorities when there are dresses to be bought, venues to be booked and estranged family members to contend with. But you'll feel naked without a bag on the big day, and the odds are your day-to-day handbag won't quite cut it at your fairytale wedding.
Our 'smug married' sister site Bridalwave has picked out some beautiful bags to suit all budgets, colours and styles. Follow the jump for details!
Looking a bit like peacock feathers, this tote by Marc Jacobs has little multi-coloured metallic woven squared dotted across the blue leather body and criss-crossed with blue quilt stitching. There is a colour clash of sorts with the burgundy handle and shoulder strap, and the colourful-ness if finished off with more metallic and blue in the floral tassels that swing off the gold padlock on the front. For me, this a lot going on for one bag, so while I don't find it particularly unattractive, it won't be added to my bag wishlist anytime soon. What do you think? Is it being added to yours? BFFs Marc Jacobs and blogger BryanBoy were spied hanging out in New York after the Filipino fashion blog superstar was flown in to sit front row at the MJ show. Check out BryanBoy toting his Marc Jacobs BB ostrich bag in the pic above... and then take deep breaths, calm yourself down and try not to think jealous thoughts for the rest of the day!
Quilted bags, uber bright scarves and sunglasses which were a cross between those naff 80s 3-D glasses you had as a child and a superhero eye mask were the order of the day for accessories at Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 09. Can't wait to see a better close up of those bags!
