Lego Louis Vuitton lookalikey bags by Chiu Keung

lv_lego_bags.jpg

Any fan of Lego and Louis Vuitton (c'mon, there's bound to be a crossover of people who like both...) will most likely think these designs by Chiu Keung from the Hong Kong Lego Users Group are really just the bees knees. I know I do! You might not be able to fit much in these bags (probably just your debit card if you're lucky) but I think I'd be more concerned about what would happen if I was my usual klutzy self and dropped it... You can check out more of his work here.

BAG COUSINS? Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton rose print bag and Topshop applique rose tote

bag_cousins_stephen_sprouse_topshop.jpg

We can't really give the Topshop accessory designers too much flack for being 'inspired' by the Stephen Sprouse designs for Louis Vuitton, which were brought back to life by Marc Jacobs very recently. The man was a genius and his gorgeous rose graffiti print is certainly a gorgeous addition to a bag.

So we get why they've wanted to use a similar deco on their cotton applique tote. What we don't get, is why it doesn't look much like a rose but more like an upside-down (laughing) Lemming. We guess you could say these bags are related... but probably more like third cousins and no closer than that!

Marc Jacobs 'channels' Madonna in his own bunny ear design for Louis Vuitton

mj_lv_bunnyears.jpg

More Louis Vuitton news for you today, but this one is simply too good for me to bypass it! In honour of the upcoming Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards, the 2009 CFDA Journal has published images of the nominees wearing some of their own designs - thus, we have Marc Jacobs wearing the same pair of Louis Vuitton bunny ears recently seen plonked on Madonna's head.

Conceptualized by photographer Craig McDean and stylist Karl Templer, the spread also features Alexander Wang looking distinctly Jim Morrison-like and Jason Wu wearing a silk dress over a suit. Check it out here.

Sienna Miller totes bag from Sofia Coppola for Louis Vuitton collection

sofia_coppola_louis_vuitton.jpg

Sofia Coppola may have unveiled her collection for Louis Vuitton late last year, but the 'slebs are still pulling out her pieces which shows their ongoing wearability (as opposed to some of the trendier, seasonal bags from LV). Sienna Miller (pictured) and Kate Moss have both been seen recently carrying the SC bag in calf leather while her chic clutches (which have buckles to imitate those seen on the famous LV trunks) have been gripped by the likes of models Claudia Schiffer and Erin O'Connor.

The Sofia Coppola collection is available in Louis Vuitton's Sloane Street and Harrods stores.

Natalia Vodianova wears Louis Vuitton "bunny ears" for Russian 'Vogue'

vogue_natalia_vodianova_lv_headdress.jpg

When we saw these 'bunny ears' on the Louis Vuitton catwalk in March, our first thought was "hmm, that's never, ever going to catch on". But here we are a few months later, and not only have they made an appearance on the red carpet (Madonna at the MET Costume Institute Gala) but now they're gracing the cover of a glossy - and a glossy none other than Vogue. Natalia Vodianova, in all her supermodel gorgeousness, makes them look *marginally* more wearable than Madge, but I still cannot, for the life of me, picture this look walking down Regent Street any time soon!

BAG LADY PREVIEW: Louis Vuitton accessories A/W '09

After falling head over heels for Louis Vuitton's amazing A/W 09 accessories (namely the studded metallic bags and cute rabbit ear headdresses), I didn't hesitate for even a split second when an invitation to the Fall-Winter 2009-2010 Louis Vuitton presentation landed on my desk - a chance to see those metallic beauties in person? I would be there with bells on!

Going with the overall 80s couture theme of OTT-ness, sequins abounded on the classic Monogram canvas, while satin pochettes were accessorised themselves with a gold-studded "belt". Fingerless gloves sparkled and the chunky chain necklace with looked like a paper chain (it is in fact covered in matte lacquer to give it that effect) was as bold and 80s as you could possibly get. Also loving the men's duffel bag with football quilting - the ultimate carry-all, really.
