Here is a diary date definitely worth pencilling in. Fans of Louis Vuitton will get a front seat view of the label's Spring/Summer 2010 show live as it happens at Paris Fashion Week.
It doesn't matter where you are in the world, as long as you can get onto the internet you can watch the show as it streams live via Facebook.
It's the first time that the luxury fashion house, known for its strong accessories division, has taken such a technological step forward. Make sure to sign up to their Facebook page so you can access its coverage.
The Louis Vuitton S/S 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection will stream live on October 7, 2009 at 2:30PM (Paris time) / 8:30AM EST.
Annie Leibovitz (pictured far left with Sarah Jessica Parker) is no stranger to working with Louis Vuitton. The famed photographer has collaborated with the luxury brand on several ad campaigns, most notably the label's "core values" campaigns starring a plethora of celebs such as Sir Sean Connery.
Now Leibovitz, along with six others including British artist Damien Hirst, are turning into designers for Louis Vuitton. They have been asked to create an special order piece each to be auctioned off for charity.
The star snapper has designed a monogrammed canvas backpack, roomy enough to fit camera equipment (natch!). It features black leather trim, red lining, together with a matching shoulder bag.
Ever since Madonna hit the red carpet at the Met Gala in those Louis Vuitton bunny ears, many have been left curious about them. Now, in this behind-the-scenes video of the label's autumn/winter 2009 campaign, Marc Jacobs gives us the lowdown: "There's a girl who works for us, Lucy, she's on the design team, and Adrian, one of the boys, was tying a little bit of fabric around and it reminded me of bunny. We were thinking of all these different things like can-can dancers, and I saw this piece of fabric wrapped around Lucy's head and said, 'Bunny ears, that's what we need to finish this look.' So we made all these radzimir bunny ears and that's how it happened. I like the kind of Playboy, French coquette aspect to it."
Another year, another season of The X Factor, and another chance for newbie judge Cheryl Cole to impress in the fashion stakes and have us all go gaga over her very exciting wardrobe. While she seemed to wear a lot of UK designers last year - namely, Matthew Williamson and Julien MacDonald - this year, will we see her stepping out in more international labels?
So far, she seems to have a penchant for Louis Vuitton - she wore this gorgeous Rock Candy bracelet from the Spring Summer 2009 accessory collection on Monday and was then spotted in more from the French fashion house yesterday. If you feel you cannot live without this bracelet, ask about it at a Louis Vuitton boutique near you.
Photoshop is working overtime in the latest A/W 2009-10 ads from Madonna and the Louis Vuitton crew. The first image from the campaign was leaked last week, and now more have been uncovered. So far the reaction has been varied with many surprised by the amount of retouching that has taken place. Indeed Madge almost looks unrecognisable, I can't help but wonder if it's really her and not a mannequin. Did Marc Jacobs raid Madame Tussauds, perhaps?
Well, it seems these days to be a pop star you need a couple of things - a smash hit song (yup, fair enough), a fairly revealing wardrobe (just ask Lady Gaga!) and whaddaya know: a designer bag (helps if it's Louis Vuitton, too).
Pixie Lott has burst onto the scene at a rather rapid rate, but that hasn't stopped her from quickly donning the pop star 'look' and of course, building up her handbag collection.
If you've got secret pop star aspirations of your own, then you can always fast track requirement number three (LV acquisition) so just in case you are discovered by Simon Cowell, you've already got the bag thing down pat. We like this Pochette Tulum in the monogram canvas, which is similar to the one Pixie is holding. It's small, but you'll have an entourage to carry all of your belongings anyway! It's priced at £220 from Louis Vuitton.
Just when we start to think we'll never see females toting any other bag except for an oversized clutch for the rest of our lives (okay, slight exaggeration), along comes a bag revelation to keep us on our toes. It seems that bigger isn't necessarily better when it comes to clutches, and a small box version is instead an elegant way to carry around your belongings.
Celebrities, of course, are leading the way into small bag-dom, and no surprises here, but they've all decided to go with one that very few of us will be able to get our mitts on - Louis Vuitton's minaudière clutch. Seen in the hands of Claudia Schiffer, Sophie Dahl and Thandie Newton recently, its design is inspired by 20th century jewellery boxes and is available in either patent leather or silk in shades of pearl, plum, gold, chrome or trusty old black. It is lined with lambskin and has a chain handle which can be used as a shoulder carry or can also be tucked inside. It's only human to be insanely, sickeningly jealous right now of them owning one and me not, isn't it?! They're available in Louis Vuitton boutiques now.
