Would you trust your laptop to a Class 3 waterproof case?

waterproof_laptopcase.jpg

Zara Rabinowicz writes...

I love my laptop. It's my treasure, my companion, my best friend. When it's tired I let it sleep, when it's dirty I clean it and when I travel it rests comfortably in a fleece lined pouch. Would I then take this lovely device, chuck it in an unattractive bag and *gulp* throw it in a pool? I don't think so.

Despite Overboard saying the laptop bag has a 100% waterproof closure and is waterproof Class 3 I'm still not convinced. When you read the small pri9ny it says it can handle 'quick submersions', but how do you quantify that? Any deeper than 3 feet and it's bye bye lappie. I'm going to opt out of this not so waterproof bag with a sigh of relief. £39.99 from Overboard .

Stylish laptop bag on wheels

wheelie_laptopcase.jpg

Lucy Hedges writes...

I toyed with the idea of posting this due to its snoozabilty factor. However, I remember secretly wishing I had a laptop case with wheels on my last press trip. I'd crammed the entire contents of my handbag into my wheel-less bag, so needless to say my shoulders needed some serious TLC after carrying it around for what felt like days.

I would have paid money for a bag with wheels to come and rescue my shoulders from permanent damage. Hell, I would have paid someone to carry it for me, but couldn't find a willing participant. With that in mind, I thought there'd be a few ladies who'd appreciate this blazing bag.

Accessorise your laptop

Laptop_skin_birds in a tree.jpgIs a laptop an accessory? It must be, right? Well, even if it's not right now, it will be once you've decorated it with a laptop sticker.

Schtickers.com has an enormous range of laptop skins that are easily applied and removed. You can even design your own or have one printed from your own photo. I picked this 'Birds in a tree' skin, costing $19.99, cos you know how I love the birdie accessories, but if I was to buy one, I might have to go the cheesy route and have a photo of my lovely kid. What about you? What would you go for? Or wouldn't you bother?

Burberry+bag= Chav heaven

Burberry laptop bag.jpg

Aah, Burberry. Once the domain of the high and mighty, then football hooligans and Essex louts became its main client base. I Wonder if this laptop bag will see it return to the arms of the elite once more? Perhaps not. You're basically paying an overinflated price for an ugly bag that practically screams, 'Mug me, Mug me! I'm carried by a mug..' Yours if you wish for $895 from Nordstrom.

Don't judge a e-book by its Cosmo cover

kindle-covercosmo3.jpg

Shiny Shiny's Zara Rabinowicz writes...

With e-readers slowly gaining more and more publicity it seems only natural that they should start having their own accessories. It hasn't quite escalated into the iPod furore with everything from headphones to socks branded with the infernal 'i', but a couple of stylish covers for your precious e-book seems a fairly natural transition.

I like this cover, as the cognac brown is very chic, and goes well with the multi-coloured lining. It has pockets to hold your business cards and notes and is a nice alternative to a plain black case. They say it's suitable for the Kindle, but I suspect this would also fit the BeBook as well! It's £39.95 Euros from Stylz World

Bon Jovi laptop bag for the fans

bonjovi_laptopbag.jpg

Lucy Hedges writes...

Raise your hands if you like this bag. These days, laptop bags can either go one way or the other - down the plain old boring or the must-have highway. Originally designed for special VIP package holders for Bon Jovi's Highway Tour, the Heart and Dagger Messenger bag proved so popular it's now been rolled out to those who couldn't afford the VIP status or make the tour.

You don't have to be a die-hard Bon Jovi fan to even consider spending your hard earned pennies on this laptop bag. And if your friends don't like it, tell em' 'it's my life and I do what I want'.
