However you feel about the valentine's "thing" (and with over three weeks to go, there's always time to change your mind on it one way or another!) you've got to admit that this pewter keyring, whose miniature key-charms spell out the word 'love', is rather cute.
Also, it's modest about its romantic tendencies. Jangle it around a bit, and all you'll see is keys. Isn't that the best way to be?

I'm not usually a sucker for novelty keyrings, but when there's obvious quality involved and a cool idea, I'm game. At least, that's my excuse for loving this miniature photo frame bag charm from Billy Bag, which will clip neatly on to your handbag, allowing you to carry with you a picture of your loved one, family member or dog at all times.
Also available in dark brown, the real leather frame has a double compartment and high quality large-sized ring for secure attachment. Small leather goods lust is brewing within us yet again...

Whistles really do have the loveliest jewellery in store at the moment. Think Tatty Devine but with less perspex and more bright, heavy enamels.
They've chosen 'back to school' as their theme, with pencil pendants in black, bright yellow or silver, the pencil sharpener ring we featured in our office chic feature and a nostalgic winged rollerskate boot keyring. All add a delightful twist to sensible outfits or bags, without going overboard on the 'cute'.

Twilight has taken the world (and teens) by storm, but up till now I haven't really taken much notice. Robert who? But browsing through Etsy just now I found FallenHearts who makes jewellery inspired by the novels, and I'm starting to have an interest.
She makes bracelets modeled on one mentioned in the book, with heart shaped crystals dripping from them, as well as pendants with quotes from the books on them, which I imagine would be very popular with Edward fanatics.
This would be a perfect place to get a gift for a fan, but you don't have to be one to appreciate the beautiful jewellery on offer, like these blue heart earrings above, which are only $13.50.

A Mulberry bag is the key to many a girl's heart, but for adoring suitors who can't quite stretch to the full monty there are always bag charms; pretty little tokens that should gain them access to at least...the front porch!
Available in blue or red, these key-shaped charms with cut-out heart are simple enough that they could soon gain cult status among the well bagged crowd. They'd look best teamed with a classic Mulberry number like this one, but failing that you could always clip one to your Primark clutch (we wouldn't approve). £50 at My-Wardrobe

I've made no secret of the fact that I am a 20-something grown woman who absolutely adores pink. Pink bags, pink nails and pink pashminas - I have it all (though, not all at once, I'll have you know!) I also love watermelon, use a pink polka dot mug for my tea every morning and have a bit of a soft spot for flamingos...
They're so weird-looking, yet beautiful, and I have managed to get just an eency bit excited about them ever since I saw them roaming the grounds of the Hilton Waikiki hotel a number of years ago.
Which is why this cute bag charm by Luella would sit nicely amongst my pink collection - as a reminder of one of my favourite animals and of a fantastic holiday. It's £55 from Urban Outfitters.

Having a posh keyring is one of life's little pleasures - I have this lovely sterling silver one from Tiffany & Co. It's now reduced to a mere £45 from Tiffany Mall. It would make a great Valentine's present - whether you also decide to put the keys to your pad on it is your call!
