Eccentric hat designer Tracy Rose has created some of the most extravagant and memorable hats at Ascot and other high profile events over the past 30 years, and Hats Off is her 30-year retrospective - showcasing the most show-stopping of her pieces. We caught up with Tracy at the show's opening night on Thursday and spent some time enjoying her unique work: the show is open to the public at Gallery Different in London until tomorrow.

Stella McCartney's talent for taking simple elements and endowing them with vast amounts of chic is evident in this new 'Colette' clutch bag, which is made from black plexiglass with gold-toned globes and faux-suede accents. The sharp corners and contrasts make this a really striking accessory to complete a minimalist evening look.
We love the opulent feel of the bag, which takes our current colour combination crush of black and gold and turns it into something a little bit futuristic while nodding slightly to the more decadent styles of the twenties.
Freida Pinto was spotted carrying one of our most-wanted tote bags earlier this week: the timeless classic Ralph Lauren Tiffin tote. Freida has the black version, which we've not seen on sale anywhere, so she's clearly in-the-know when it comes to eminently covetable Lauren bags!
We love this bag because it's the ultimate in laid-back, quality chic, and its unbranded plainness is very now. However it's also got a sense of fun about it, with its cute over-sized lock detailing and fob. An investment piece to treasure forever - if you can afford to "invest"!
If you've got a bit of spare time today we would be massively grateful if you'd share your views with us prior to our forthcoming site re-launch. We want to ensure that the new look Bag Lady meets all your requirement (and more) as handbag and accessory lovers, and we need your input to get it absolutely right.
We're already had some excellent responses from readers that are giving us a clearer insight into what you love and hate about The Bag Lady, and how we can make it better.
The Trilby is one of our favourite masculine-chic headwear styles of all time, so it's always worth having one tucked away in your wardrobe (or perhaps sitting on top of it for that extra bohemian vibe!) ready to be pulled out when you want to add a quirky note to your look. And Peacock's have picked up here on one simple but effective way to pimp your Trilby: hat dressing!
They've added a pair of perky peacock feathers, which are ideal for this season's obsession with plumage and jewel tones - many of which can also be referred to as 'peacock tones' including jade green and brilliant blue. We can imagine keeping hold of the hat long past the feathers have reached their sell-by date, adding on different decorative appendages each season.
Just check out this little guy! Feathers are big business in accessories at the moment, but if you can't stretch to River Island's other piece of plumed arm candy (that being the bag we all lusted over at Fashion Week) these miniature semi-naturalistic bird bags are a fun alternative.
The mini bag or oversized chain purse is made up in super 70s colours. which pick up a real owl's natural hues. We love those bright orange peepers - so cute! This would make a fantastic quirky Christmas present, and I'm imagining stuffing it full of sweets for an extra special treat.
We've all heard of the designer rental services that allow you to hire a luxury dress or accessory you could never afford to buy outright, and handbags are becoming an increasingly popular item to hire.
These services make sense on a number of levels: it avoids the folly of spending a fortune on an item you'll wear for just one special occasion, and allows us to elevate our style to a level that's way beyond our usual reach.
But the prices can still be extortionate, you run the risk of being fined for staining or damaging the goods, and there is always the awful possibility of being mocked for impersonating those who can really afford the designer swag.
What do you think: would you rent a designer handbag for a limited time?
