Shiny fashion Preview: New Look Clutch Bags A/W 08

clutches_edited-1.jpg

Who doesn't love a little clutch bag? We may not get these babies in time for summer, but they'll be perfect when the winter party season drifts round again. I particularly like the one with the bow, it's oh so sweet! You'll be able to get these from September at New Look.

Shiny Fashion Preview: New Look Large Bags A/W 08

new look bags.jpg

I took a look at New Look's selection of bags on offer for this year and was very impressed with the design and quality of their products. I loved the over sized bowling bag, and find the mock croc really appealing- and a recent celebrity trend too!

See after the jump for more. Which is your favourite?

Shiny Fashion Preview: River Island Bags A/W 08

new look seasonal.jpg

At the River Island press day for the year ahead, there were some key trends that really stood out. Obviously they were more evident in the clothes, but for chickens like me, they were also reflected in the accessories, so I don't need to go head to toe in neon. Neon was really big, with lots of dayglo prints and bold shapes and colours. Another trend was the metallic look, perfect for Winter, with lots of bags having a great metallic sheen, often with matching shoes as well. Finally, the nautical theme was still going strong, with lots of red, blue and gold featured.

See more after the jump.

Leather twist lock bag new in at Warehouse

warehousechannelmulb.jpg
High Street retailer Warehouse have upped their game slightly recently in terms of accessories. They're also upped the price slightly but it is definitely justified in most cases. This leather tote for example is made of gorgeous soft leather and resembles a designer tote but will set you back £100 instead of an average £850!

I love the twist lock detail on the pocket and the buckles, it makes the tote more interesting without it being too much. It would be a great day bag which would see you through several seasons. Get one now from Warehouse online.

Baglady Preview: River Island handbags

River Island have some lovely bags on offer for the new season, with styles to suit every taste. Whether you go for the oversized patent bags, or the more delicate grab bags, there ares o many prints, finishes and colours you're sure to be satisfied. The neon and metallic trend still seems to be a hot staple for the new year, and though the large lime/yellow/pink bag may be a little OTT for some people, others will revel in the bold statement/blindness it creates when carrying it.

Baglady Preview: Urban Outfitters

IMG_0007.JPG

The buzzword for alternative , yet somehow still overpriced, Urban Outfitters have been scratching their heads and inventing a new range of bags and accessories that seem to take their inspiration.. from other people. Yes, here we have Billy bag bags, Tatty Devine jewellery and a variety of sunnies under the Urban Umbrella. I love this grab bag with the hand imprint on it, and the range only gets more exciting.

Recycled card holder from Topshop for your travel card

recycledcardholder.jpgA while ago, Zara and I took a closer look at a couple of totes made from recycled fish paper from Cambodia. I took quite a liking to the eco bags and wanted to bag one for myself (sorry, couldn't resist that pun). Today I was having a quick look at the Topshop website and discovered that they have now caught on to the trend too! They have a whole range of eco friendly accessories on offer including this card holder. If you're a Londoner it would make the perfect oyster card holder or if you're a student, why not put your student card in it? It's £15 from Topshop.com.
