Daisy Lowe showed us all where the real Wild Things were last night: they we heading out to party after the watching the Maurice Sendak film that premiered last night.
She's have needed those sizeable, fluffy gloves since the weather in London was bitterly cold. And as a sufferer of seriously cold hands at the best of times I have to applaud her choice of 'animal' mitts, which I've now tracked down in ASOS. If you'd like to get the look (and get warm!) you can buy them here for £15

Has the world gone stark raving bonkers for gloves? First, Michael Jackson's infamous white glove sold for $350,000 at auction (didn't they notice it's missing a partner!?) and now on the Paul O'Grady show, country singing starlet Taylor Swift has been seen proudly brandishing a complete pair that's worthy of Minnie Mouse.
Embroidered with the legend: "fun ... don", the gloves would seem to suggest that Taylor is having a fabulous time here in London. I've no doubt that this appearance will kick off a trend for more 'message' gloves in the near future, but don't think Taylor's are nearly as cool as these 'blog this' gloves you can make yourself...

It's not quite gloves weather just yet, is it? It's certainly chilly, but thankfully we're still not quite into the biting cold, fingers-about-to-drop-off season that will no doubt be upon us all too soon.
So, there's no better time than now to get gloved up, before all the pretty styles start selling out and you're left with nothing but the dull and woolly dregs! These ones by corder at ASOS are particularly fun: the bejewelled bow is a little bit Minnie Mouse and the luxury leather will keep your fingers toasty.

Pom-poms are bigger than ever at the moment! Whether they're sailing proudly along behind your favrouite designer handbag or bobbing along on top of your head, you know you'll make passersby smile with one of these cheery decorations.
I've not heard of garments being made from recycled wool before, so am pretty excited about these super-green winter warmers from People Tree, whose clothes and accessories make you look and feel good, inside and out. These jolly coloured mittens and hat are both made under fairtrade conditions in Nepal and have been slashed in price, just in time for winter.
Mittens are £10 and hat, £11 both at People Tree
Enamore are best known for their classy, silk-based accessories and lingerie that's all made to impeccable ethical standards and using organic and locally-sourced materials wherever possible.
They've recently brought some new and delightful products on to the site to see us through winter, including a handful of crocheted items, all made in Britain from 100% pure superfine alpaca. If you've never touched alpaca wool I suggest you do: it's warm, soft, not in the least itchy and comes from one of the most wonderful and funny-looking animals in the world - in this case, well-fed and happy alpacas bread in this country. A splendid gift, or treat for those who feel the cold.

While I was setting up the House of Fraser competition earlier, I clocked this rather wonderful range of gloves from Moschino's Cheap & Chic range and it got me thinking about what hand-warming apparel to go for this winter. They seem like minor fripperies now, but don't forget that in a couple of months time you won't want to leave the house without these things!
Black and red are definitely huge seasonal colours, so buying a pair from this collection should see you through the colder months in style. The 'heart' design is particularly adorable and I'm hugely tempted by them.
Monogrammed Moschino gloves £50 and heart detail gloves £40, both at House of Fraser
