Get Her Look: Alexa Chung's Lulu Guinness cat bag

alexa-chung-lulu.jpgAlexa Chung has found the purr-fect accessory to accompany her down the red carpet: it's Lulu Guinness' adorable Kooky-eyed cat shoulder bag. We all know that style follows Alexa wherever she goes, so I can see this bag being an even bigger hit now these photos are out for us all to admire. If you can't resist the look and want to adopt your own kitty bag, Lulu Guinness Kooky-eyed cat bag: £225 at Lulu Guinness

miaow bag.pngIf you're looking for something a little cheaper, however, I've noticed a very similar style in Irregular Choice's growing accessory range. Granted the cat whose face graces their 'Miaow' bag looks a little more sulky than in the Guinness version, but the price will give you no reason to pout: it's just £36.99 at Irregular Choice.

GET THE LOOK: Hayden Panettiere's Rebecca Minkoff 'Morning After' bag

rebecca_minkoff_hayden_panettiere_morning_after_bag.jpg

Proving Rebecca Minkoff's Morning After bag has not only lasting appeal but still has some major celebrity kudos attached to it too, Hayden Panittiere has been seen out and about shopping in LA with it placed firmly on her shoulder. It's classic shape, minimal detailing, and quality material and workmanship has seen it skip the 'It' bag tag, and end up in the "actually very lovely bag which will always remain lovely" pile. Which is a pretty good pile to end up in, really. It's still far more reasonably priced than some of its flashier counterparts and is available in black, almond and wine for $595 from Rebecca Minkoff.

GET THE LOOK: Nicky Hilton's studded 'Marley' bag

TreejeMarleyBagNicky.jpgOur former Handbag Hero was spotted on Robertson Boulevard a little while ago, looking more then a little rock chic and holding this studded beauty made by Treesje.

The leather, motorbikes and studs look is still all over the place, and if you like to let your accessories do the talking, this bag could be perfect for releasing your inner rebel. If you want it, you can buy the 'Marley' hobo for $565 here. They also make it in that striking turquoise version (above), which is the one I'd be going for, if I had $565 to spare.

GET THE LOOK: Pixie Lott's Louis Vuitton pochette

getthelook_pixie_lott_louis_vuitton.jpg

Well, it seems these days to be a pop star you need a couple of things - a smash hit song (yup, fair enough), a fairly revealing wardrobe (just ask Lady Gaga!) and whaddaya know: a designer bag (helps if it's Louis Vuitton, too).

Pixie Lott has burst onto the scene at a rather rapid rate, but that hasn't stopped her from quickly donning the pop star 'look' and of course, building up her handbag collection.

If you've got secret pop star aspirations of your own, then you can always fast track requirement number three (LV acquisition) so just in case you are discovered by Simon Cowell, you've already got the bag thing down pat. We like this Pochette Tulum in the monogram canvas, which is similar to the one Pixie is holding. It's small, but you'll have an entourage to carry all of your belongings anyway! It's priced at £220 from Louis Vuitton.

GET THE LOOK: Katherine Jenkins' Lulu Guinness lips clutch

katherine_jenkins_lips_clutch.jpg

Is it just me or is this girl showing up everywhere these days?! Welsh songbird Katherine Jenkins is obviously riding a wave of popularity because the invites to posh dos and launches seem to be coming in thick and fast - the latest being the VIP preview day for the Chelsea Flower Show. What does one wear to such an event? Well, you pick out your most floral frock, some extremely gorgeous nude Louboutin heels and you know, a random clutch shaped like lips.

Don't get us wrong - there's nothing wrong with having a bit of fun when it comes to bags (in fact we'd encourage it)! And if you agree, and want a juicy pout of your own, Lulu Guinness has a pink snakeskin version which is currently on sale (30% off) at My-Wardrobe. (Just make sure you enter the code BAGSSHOES30 in the promo box at checkout.)

GET THE LOOK: Eva Longoria is loving her Be&D Kan Kan tote

eva_longoria_parker_bandd_kankan_bag.jpg

I don't want to blow my own trumpet here or anything *ahem*, but I've been loving the Be&D Kan Kan bag a lot longer than Eva Longoria has! Unfortunately for me, she's the one with the much larger bank balance (and access to designer freebies, hmmmph) and therefore she is the one that gets to swan around Hollywood with it on her arm, making me insanely jealous in the process.

Hers is actually the tote version, which you can still purchase in black for $1390. The logical thing to do would be to start saving but I'm thinking of the best long-term solution - and that would be scoring a role on a hit TV sitcom, so I too can enjoy unlimited access to the best of bag-dom!

GET THE LOOK: Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B Andhra Bala clutch

gwen_stefani_lamb_andhra_bala_clutch.jpg

Of all the celebrity-turned-designers, you don't see many who actually wear "their" designs other than the launches and promo appearances, which we imagine is just a contractual obligation. One designer who we see wearing her own stuff on a regular basis is Gwen Stefani, and what makes this fact even more fabulous is that you can tell it is stuff she loves and would wear anyway. Now that is the best walking advertisement we can think of.

Here she is with another of her clutches, this time the Andhra Bala clutch which has a touch of the tribal - a very big trend this season. She teams it with a clashing tartan print on her lower half and with a classic white vest and black blazer. So chic! You can find one just the same at Shopbop.
