Summer has arrived, but you'd be forgiven for not noticing with the indecisive weather. Team that with a credit crunch and it's easy to see why you might even sit this season's trends out.

'Reality' star Heidi Montag, or more widely known together with husband Spencer Pratt as 'Speidi', may not be a style queen (in my eyes anyway - did you see her clothing line? Ergh.), but she does have a bag collection to die for. Featuring Balenciaga, Chanel and Valentino, Heidi has a different bag for every shopping trip and posed photo op.

Last night saw the opening of the Stephen Jones-curated Hats - An Anthology exhibition held at the Victoria and Albert Museum, and so of course, only the best "hatted" folk turned out to celebrate. From fellow designers Giles Deacon and Lulu Guinness to models Erin O'Connor and Yasmin Le Bon to the shockingly non-hat-wearing Roisin Murphy, it was a great turnout and a great party.
The exhibition showcases all sorts of hats through history - boaters, Stetsons and fascinators, as well as Jones' own work for the likes of Dior, John Galliano and Giles.

I was backstage at Tory Burch ogling bags, boots and tons of jewelry I covet for Fall 09, and even interviewing the lady herself. What a sweetheart! She loves the statement necklace for fall 09 and says they spent a ton of time on their accessories this season. It shows!

It seems pretty much everyone got the memo about toning things down a tad for this year's Golden Globe Awards. In these harsh economic times it makes sense not to flash a whole lotta bling around town - we understand, we do. It doesn't make the fact that there aren't truckloads of diamonds and flashy clutches to perve at any less sad though. The stars kept things to a minimum, but we still managed to find things we liked...

It's in store now guys! And if you don't know what I'm talking about, then what rock have you been living under? (Just kidding.) Yes, the Stephen Sprouse-inspired limited edition collection for Louis Vuitton, which I have been spouting off about for weeks, has finally hit Louis Vuitton boutiques so now you are actually able to see it all up close and personal.
It's Sprousemania at the mo, with a swish soiree taking place in New York last week to launch the collection (and hosted by the one and only Mr Marc Jacobs), while the Sprouse retrospective at the Deitch Projects has also opened over the weekend. If you're a huge fan of his work - or if you are interested to find out more about what made this man such an inspiring artist - then you may wish to check out the newly released The Stephen Sprouse Book.
