Alexander Wang may be the only designer who's currently interested putting studs where they're actually needed on a bag: why, on the bottom of the bag, of course! His Coco Mini was a sellout in all sorts of textures and fabrics, and now he's released an equally cute bucket-shaped bag with the trademark studded bottom.
The 'Diego' bucket bag is clearly influenced by Native American suede pouches, and has a lovely softness to it. It's rendered in a hugely trendy spring 2010 buff colour, and would look awesome with a casual-look playsuit.

OK so in no world I'm aware of would I spend £465 on a canvas tote, and if I ever do I'm relying on my friends to quickly lock me away for my own safety. But that doesn't stop me lusting after these oh-so-pretty toes by Lanvin, which feature the brand's trademark big ribbons on the handle.
The illustrations printed on to the bags were created especially for Lanvin's £120th birthday, and unlike your average shopper bag, both are beautifully lined with 'crease effect' satin twill. Fancy!

At last! Someone's finally done something a bit more interesting with that latticey 'cage' look than use it in as part of a boring, black patent bag. No surprise that the someone in question should be Marc Jacbos, whose designs seem to be getting even more colourful and experimental of late.
This new variant of the 'Jennifer' uses lattice strips to create a birdcage effect that allows for a welcome splash of colour and a quirky trompe l'oeil. A gold padlock clasp is a perfect 'victoriana' finish to this most unusual of bags

Judith Leiber is clearly looking to spring: abandoning her menagerie of parrots, panthers and owls to bring us this pleasantly floral clutch bag that's full of essential colours for next spring including that arresting sunny yellow, which shines out from the bag brighter than any other colour.
Like all of Leiber's bags, this is a work of art in its own right with a price tag to match. But it's interesting to look at from afar, if only to see the direction that this influential designer is taking. Floral is going to be huge, along with weaving, giant sized prints and even more tassels, and we love this sparkly take on the classic look.

It may be still warm from the runway and yet Victoria Beckham has jumped well ahead of the queue and literally bagged herself a Louis Vuitton S/S 2010 messenger bag.
How sweet it is to be a star...
Victoria was snapped with the bag while breezing through Heathrow with her bodyguard not too far behind. Of course seeing as she's such good buds with Marc Jacobs it isn't really too much of a surprise to see her carrying the slouchy piece, complete with fur tail charms and orange tassels. Hang on, isn't Vic supposed to be against fur?
With a bag so ahead of the pack, I'm not surprised she kept her bodyguard close by. I can see a few green-eyed fashionistas easily tackling the Spice Girl in order to get their mitts on this one.
