Well it had to happen, I suppose: Jimmy Choo has succumbed to the allure of woven chic for the spring, with this large-weave handbag just landed at Net-a-Porter. This bleached-out look feels like a bit change for the designer, whose styles have been vibrantly colourful almost without exception in the past twelve months or so.
About the size of a small clutch but with a substantial gold-toned double chain strap, this is a real gem of a bag to be worn just beneath the arm. It's quite a delicate take on what most designers have interpreted as a large scale style.

Lace isn't a material we're particularly used to seeing in accessories, but Zagliani have created one that manages not to look too much like something you'd see hanging from an old lady's window, and far more like the sort of thing that will complement your hippy summer wardrobe (and trust me, you will have one) to perfection.
The work that's gone into creating the intricate design is phenomenal (and also reflected in the bag's price!) giving it an almost artisan bridal feel. But whether or not you could contemplate buying a piece like this, I think it's interesting to see even more light and artsy design being used.

Balenciaga's city bag series is becoming more and more popular among the rich and successful, and with new designs like this coming out, it's easy to see why. The ultimate in neo-yuppie chic, these bags will get even the scattiest person organised within seconds.
Smart, chic and made from soft leather in the warmest shade of beige I've ever seen, this generous bag can be carried with its hoop handles or over the shoulder. I love the brogue effect and could play with its soft skin all day!

Planning on going into battle any time soon? We all have to wage our own private wars, and with a piece of designer gear like this on your arm you'll be sure to survive the season in style.
The tote bag, in antique silver leather, is another example of oddly-shaped accessories that will certainly get you noticed. Shiny, tough and making the most of the metallic trend, it's lined with a black satin fabric for extra elegance and sophistication.

Conspiracy theorists must be having a field day with accessories at the moment. We know that Lady Sovereign is a big fan of all-things triangular, and yesterday we ogled the pointy edges of Gareth Pugh's latest bag style. Now, Alexander Wang's turned his talents to making pyramid-shaped luggage with a new 'Darla' clutch that's bound to be a hit.
In line with much of Wang's current work, the clutch has a sturdy forest of studs at its base, combining practicality and style in perfect harmony. But what do you think: is this a new and ground-breaking direction for designers to be taking or is it just a gimmick on a par with pyramid tea-bags?

I'm not entirely convinced that shapes can be in fashion, but right now the triangle is definitely having its moment in the sun. Pyramids and other triangular structures are shooting up all over the place, and Gareth Pugh is one designer who certainly knows how to work an irregular shape...
This triangular shoulder bag, from the designer's new collection, will make a striking addition to any outfit, and will sit especially well with sharp edged retro chic. A stripy, lined interior makes it perfect for summer excursions!

More audio chic has crossed the Bag Lady's radar this week: this time in the form of a hard-as-nails leather pouch by Felder Felder. I can't help thinking that the brass decorations on the outside of the pouch look a bit like ring-pulls, but I do like the heavy chain, and can see this being the ultimate accessory to finish a tough, rock chick outfit.
