Hamilton tote bag by Michael Kors

t_205913.jpg Buttery soft bags in nude shades simply do not mesh with British weather but there's something so ultra feminine and frivolous about this roomy bag that makes me start to wonder if I could make this work. The tote bag is lined with custom fabric and features an inside phone pocket and zipped pouch, as well as a key fob.

I love the branded detailing on the zip and padlock, and the elegant chain and leather strap is a handy way to hold the bag, if your hands need to be free. The design pretty much oozes taste and quality, which is why its surprising that it's available sub £300. Snap it up whilst you can- bags like this don't come around every day.

£295 from My Wardrobe

Jaeger Novaleigh bag

Jaeger bag lovely.jpgThis Jaeger bag plays on our notions of design as it effortlessly blends multiple fabrics and finishes to create something rather special. Made out of lambskin, the bag has a buttery soft feel to it, which contrasts nicely to the black patent handles and matching trims.

The body of the bag is covered with a Chanel-esque quilted effect, which makes it stylish enough to go from boardroom to bar.

Michael Kors Walnut braided satchel bag

kors-bag-yellow.jpgHere's a seriously cute bag from Michael Kors, in a style we just can't get enough of. The classic satchel shape is given a fashion twist with a chunky, braided strap, double drawstring and super thick tassel.

Yellow is a key colour this season, and this is a particularly nice tarnished shade that will look fantastic with denim and darker colours as well as the summer's pastels and neutrals.

Judith Lieber bluebird bag

bluebird.jpgI'm sharing this bag with you to day in honour of the beautiful blue sky that's finally set up residence above Bag Lady Towers, here in London. What a wonderful treat for us all, in this dismal and dingy winter.

Judith Leiber's latest wearable creature really captures the spirit of spring, and the gentle hue of the sky, which is why we love it so much at the moment. Like all of Leiber's pieces, it's a joy to behold in its own right, and costs as much as a small car. No wonder celebs can't get enough of her wares...

Bold and Beautiful Triangular Fendi De Jour tote

fendi-tote.jpgWe could all do with a little colour to brighten up the gloom this week, so it was jolly nice of the Outnet to come up with a collection of 'mood enhancing' accessories today. Each is from a designer name we covet, each at a knock-down price.

My personal fave is this red patent 'De Jour' tote from Fendi. When you see it up close, the leather is crinkled and has the most beautiful, light-enhancing sheen. I love the triangular shape - a key trend this season - and the metalwork is top notch.

£399 (was £798) at The Outnet

Bottega Veneta woven trim leather hobo

bottega-hobo.jpgThe 'dream bags' for summer are starting to roll in at our more aspirational haunts, and Net-a-Porter has just brought us this fabulous woven trim leather hobo from Bottega Veneta. It's a highly wearable piece, with just a hint of the label's handmade-chic catwalk collection.

BV really excels at making the most of texture, and I love the combination of the white, soft perforated leather and the variegated taupe trim. The bag itself is generously proportioned, and slouches to perfection when dangled from the arm. This accessory will look most at home with a floppy sun hat, loose-fitting dress and sandals.

New Givenchy bag with spiky strap

givenchy-studded-bag.jpgDesigners aren't quite as 'studded out' as I think most of their customers are, and are still putting as many of the spiky embellishments on their bags as they can get away with! In this case, Givenchy have taken studs off the main body of the bag and used them to decorate its strap instead.

This detailing works rather well here, I think, creating something akin to a piece of jewellery with the strap, in much the same way as the gilded strap of a Chanel bag will do. Only this one is much rougher and tougher than that...it's serious rock-chick cum office girl -- a killer combination that's bound to inspire shock and awe.
