Nine West 'Geri' clutch in orange

nine-west-clutch.jpgI think it's rather brave of Nine West to actually call and orange bag an orange bag here, and not try to label it as 'coral' or anything similarly sheepish. Orange, after all, is a bit colour this season, and next, according to Marc Jacobs. It sits slightly oddly with all the neutrals and dark colours that are dominating both seasons' collections, but somehow the contrast seems to work.

This patent clutch bag from Nine West is proud to be orange, and will add a welcome splash of colour to your look. It's also just shot down in price from £50 to just £35 at Nine West

Limited Collection polka-dot clutch bag

limitred-collection-clutch.jpgIt's not getting any cheerier out there. Which for some of us provides a great excuse to go and seek out brightness and colour elsewhere - in this case, in the shape of fun, high street accessories.

Marks and Sparks' Limited Collection polka-dot clutch is like a holiday in your hand. Even the dullest winter outfits will look fun and jolly with one of these to set it off. It's also a winner if you're going to Popeye it up next season, which many will certainly be doing. Best of all, it's around the same price as one of their higher-end bottles of wine...

£15 at Marks & Spencer

Tila March clutch bags at Colette

tila-march.jpgWe're loving these cheery, spring-like clutch bags by Tila March, each one a visual delight with its chunky clasp, and well-chosen fabric. The 'basket' and white leather clutch (top left) is particularly on trend, while the dark leather is a real classic. The pale blue and striped versions, meanwhile, will be absolutely perfect for summer.

There's something unmistakably French about every bag in this range, and this is no coincidence: Tila March was created from the « Rencontre » between a French fashion editor and a marketing executive in the leather luxury goods business. The results are tres chic...

Anya Hindmarch 'hands free' studded clutch

anya clutch.jpgThis bag here is a dangerous, dangerous specimen. Sure it's a bit too expensive to be within impulse-buy territory for most of us mortals, but it's just affordable enough that I could imagine convinciing myself I'd wear it every single day...after all, it's black, it's totally classic and would 'go with anything' and it's unmistakably Anya. Hell, some of her wallets aren't much cheaper than that.

I could go on, but I don't want to accidentally buy the thing...

Diane Von Furstenberg Textured Clutch

dianevonfur.jpgThis textured clutch from Diane Von Furstenberg is the kind of bag I want to reach out and touch, which I guess is the whole point of creating a textured bag.

It also comes in black and brown, but the vibrant purple of this particular one really shows the textured detail. It also boasts a wealth of little internal pockets and a long strap.

Buy it from Matches Fashion for £465.

ASOS Multi Feather Clutch

asosfeatherbag.jpgThanks to Sarah Jessica Parker, we're currently seeing feather influenced fashion up and down the catwalk, and consequently all over the high street. ASOS have bought out there own range of feathered bags, including this Multi Feather Clutch above.

Like the love child of a snake and a parrot, this bright little clutch is large enough to hold all your goodies. You can also grab it in black or nude for £25.

What do you think about the trend for all things feathered? Love it or hate it?
