Rihanna has been pretty consistent in providing TEH GLAM recently, and here she goes again with a bag that we'd all love to dangle from our arms. She's wearing it in just the way these pieces work best: as a day bag that gives just enough sparkle to an everyday outfit to add interest, but without completely overpowering her look.
If you like this bag, it's available at Farfetch now and being made from polypropylene fabric, it's a little cheaper than what we'd expect from Givenchy (though still by no means 'cheap'). This could make it a good bet for those who want to add a little designer to their day, as the style itself is so versatile it should be wearable for some time yet!
£550 at Farfetch

Continuing the promotion of her brand new collection of handbags for Longchamp was Kate Moss yesterday. The supermodel made a rare appearance at Selfridges, which was her first public outing since the news of Alexander McQueen's passing.
The event was toned-down from the original party which was planned for last night as a mark of respect. She arrived at the launch wearing a black furry coat, skinny jeans and toting a couple of her bags - a red leather and zebra-print designs. Later she hit the catwalk at Naomi Campbell's Fashion for Relief London show... more on that coming up! [Via Catwalk Queen]

Nicky Hilton's been rocking next season's look with a pale bag covered in a galaxy of studs, shown here at a recent outing in Dan Tana's Hollywood restaurant. We can't all afford the Hilton sisters' luggage budget, but there are some fun, affordable interpretations of the look on the high street at the moment, including these two from New Look and Fiorelli.
Top left is New Look's fabulous diamond bag, an absolute steal at £25. Fiorelli's Mimosa studded bag (£55) is a great summer all-rounder. Take that, Hollywood!
Vanessa Paradis looked the epitome of chic at the Mark Hotel in New York last week, where Chanel threw a star-studded dinner in her honour. The singer and consort of Johnny Depp has recently become the face of Chanel's latest beauty line, Rouge Coco de Chanel.
We're loving the way that Vanessa has accessorized this stunning peacock blue chanel evening bag with her sheer and alluring outfit. The event itself was a huge success for Chanel, whose celebrity guests included Kate Bosworth, Daphne Guinness and Caroline Sieber -- who rocked up with a Chanel transfer tattoo on her upper arm. Chanel continues to be the Hollywood label of choice!

Even when she's rushing around looking somewhat lost and confused behind those over-sized specs, VB manages to accessorize perfectly. We were struck by the simple combination of colours and textures in this ensemble, which really makes the most of a basic black slip dress.
First, of course, there's her faithful crocodile Hermes Birkin, a startling contrast in high shine blood red. Further interest is provided by her tights, which we instantly recognised as Wolford's 'Nostalgia' tights: a really interesting new design that features an oriental-style fan design that runs in waves all over the leg.

We may not all have the supreme confidence required to pull off Rihanna's 'bandaged' look, as worn by the singer at the recent American Music Awards, but we can admire it from afar in our choice of accessories.
Lot of pieces I've seen recently are clearly inspired by the look, which is characterised by simple strips of white fabric. What could be simpler? This elasticated bodycon belt, £15 at ASOS, is an affordable and speedy way to get the look, while Maison Martin Margiela's take on the style has a $500 price tag, for their multi-strip white clutch bag at Saks. Keep an eye out for more hospital chic!
I have to admit that I was a bit of a skeptic about the voluminous Cocoon range when Chanel first brought it out: who would buy the jelly-like accessories, which remind us horribly of sleeping bags?
Half of Hollywood, it soon turned out, as the range has been a massive hit with celebs. While most have opted for the more sober, black versions of the bags, Cameron Diaz has gone for red, and the choice complements her casual jeans look perfectly. Chanel has built up a whole microsite for the cocoon range now, so if you'd like to have a browse and think about a purchase, check it out here.
