- Hi, Ive come across your website because i was looking for a particular hat but was not able to find it, ive been looking since the music video was released, its vanessa Hudgens new music video snaekers night she wears a beige colour trilby hat, i have been dieing for the exact hat, the price is not an issue as my birthday is round the corner and i would luv to wear that on the day, could you please help me. thanx - Ambia
Hi Ambia, thanks for getting in touch. Unfortunately, I can't identify the hat right off the cuff and I really wish I could, as I am looking for a similar style trilby myself! The other problem is we are right in between seasons at the moment, and I just know that give it a few weeks or months and we won't be able to look right or left without seeing straw trilbys. However, I also know you are urgently looking so I can tell you there are a few trickling in to stores right now... I think I spied a very similar one on the Topshop website earlier this week, but I've learnt you've got to be quick with these things, as it is no longer there. The closest I've managed to find since is this Hamptons fedora by RVCA. I realize it's not the same - and I promise I'll keep an eye out just in case I do spot it - but hopefully this one can do the trick in the meantime.

- Hi, I bought a cotton handbag a little over a year ago at a London TopShop, with a label called "What Kate Did Next...". Nothing fancy, just an adorable birds-on-the-wire print with a leather shoulder strap. I absolutely love this bag, though, and since it's sadly on its last limbs, I was hoping to replace it with something similar by the same label. I've not been able to find anything by this line since, though. Do you know where I might find it, or if the label even still exists? I've looked everywhere! Thanks a million. - Chris
Hi Chris, there is a lingerie label called What Katie Did, which has in the past been stocked at Topshop (not to be confused with the Kate Moss 'What Katie Did' line though), so perhaps that is why you have had trouble locating it? I found the brand's website and by the looks of it, they stock only one cotton tote right now: this cute pin-up girl one, pictured above.
However, I know you were keen to find something similar to the one you already have, so have managed to locate another birds-on-wire tote by Yak Pak from an online store called Quarter Moon Imports. Perhaps shoot them off an email to work out whether they are in stock, whether they ship to your location etc etc. Otherwise I can recommend visiting our Shoppers/Totes section to see if you can find another style you like. Good luck!

- HI, I'm looking to buy a Mulberry handbag for my wife, apart from the official Mulberry website is there anywhere else online i can purchase from,i've been looking at Modalee.com but there prices seem too good too be true.Could you point me in the right direction and reccommend any websites which sell genuine designer handbags. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon. - DAVE
Hi Dave, thanks for your question. What a lucky lady your wife is, for you to spoil her with a very fabulous gift! I'm not sure of your location, so the first port of call I would suggest you make (aside from the official Mulberry website of course) is Net-a-Porter. With an international delivery option and UK and US-based sites catering to both currencies, as well as a frequently updated Mulberry bag catalogue, it just seems like the easiest and most straightforward option. If you are in the UK, you will probably find the selection, and possibly even the price, more favourable.
Other reputable places to shop online if you are in the UK are as follows: Start Boutique, My-Wardrobe, Harvey Nichols and Matches. If you are in the US, Bloomingdales and Shopbop seem to be the two to check out after visiting the US branch of Net-a-Porter. I'm not sure what budget you've set yourself, but you should know with a Mulberry bag you are investing in a classic and one which will stand the test of time. The Bayswater is probably the best example of this but I also have a soft spot for the Poppy style too. Good luck and I hope she loves the present!

- HI, I am looking for a bag for work for winter. I really want it to be Grey leather (not light though). Originally I wanted the Coach Hamptons Vintage Hobo but they are sold out world wide, so am now looking for an alternative, any ideas? Budget £400. Something smart but funky, my office is not too official! - Jo
Hi Jo. I am guessing you had your heart set on the grey Coach Hamptons Vintage hobo and therefore couldn't be persuaded to go with another style from the same range? The Lindsay Vintage shopper also by Coach (6) appears to be still available in the grey, and while less slouchy and more structured, it is a great classic you would be able to use for a few years yet. Other alternatives I have found which match your colour requirement range from Badgley Mischka (2) to See by Chloe (1 and 5) to Kenneth Cole (4) and I have my fingers crossed you might be able to find something within these you like. Grey is a very versatile colour for office wear and can be paired with pretty much everything in your work wardrobe. And you can always tie a bright, patterned scarf on to the handles if you're taking it out in the evening or on the weekend to inject a bit of colour. Price-wise I've tried to keep as close as possible to your budget - something I find quite hard to do when it comes to lush bags! If you can tear yourself away from the grey and would like to keep to a similar slouchy style with pockets, I'd suggest going with a Mulberry or Marc Jacobs in a deep plum shade (in fact, this CC Skye one is pretty gorgeous too!) Good luck and hope you find your new bag soon x

- There is a bag that claudia schiffer is carrying that appears in sunday mirror mag (14.9.08). Would you be able to find out the make at all? so many thanks if you can and for trying. - Chris
Hi Chris, unfortunately I couldn't nab myself a copy of the Sunday Mirror mag to see which bag exactly had caught your eye. But my guess is it is the bag above, as Claudia has been photographed with it quite often this year, and in particular around the end of August/early September which is the date of the mag you mentioned. This bag is a YSL Muse Two, in beige leather, and as you can see, looks fantastic whether you're in your trackies or looking glam in a patent trench! It's not cheap ($1,995) but looks set to become one of those timeless classics you'll never regret purchasing.

* Bag Lady, I am a guy and I need your help, do you know where I can get leather holdall/duffle-like bags? (I live in NYC but online stores are fine too) I am a teenager and I am on the mad hunt for a holdall bag because I do not want to wear a backpack anymore and I really would like to find some vibrant colored bags, I've been searching and all I find are black/brown/beige which I assume is geared more toward older men which is fine but not totally my style yet. Do you know where I can purchase some holdall bags for MENS in nyc? Please let me know. Thank you! - Chris
Hi Chris. Well, after going on the hunt for some leather holdalls in bright colours, I can now see why you were pulling your hair out! How many black/brown/beige bags can people make!? I hope that I have understood your definition of a duffel/holdall correctly - to me, it is a long weekender bag which can also sometimes double as a messenger bag with a longer strap. I should also probably let you know that I have cheated a bit, and added in a few non-leather bags, which were too fun and/or vibrant to leave out! They are all online links, but you should be able to track down some of them in person at the likes of Bloomies or Saks too. To find out pricing and product info, click through to read more.

Thanks to everyone who sent in questions - I have been searching high and low to find the answers you've been after. Some I do in fact have the answer to... but some I don't I'm afraid. This could be because the bags have long since sold out, or your description was perhaps a bit too vague for me to figure the solution out from (the more info you provide, the more likely I can help). Either way, I will try to give an alternative or at least point you in the right direction of where you can continue your search. Oh, and if you are reading this and think "hang on, I can ID that bag", then please do help us out by leaving a comment!

* hi, would you know about designerexposure? are all their bags authentic? ive been seeking for advice on this because i havent tried purchasing from them and would like to know if this site is reliable and all handbags being sold are authentic. Would u perhaps know? thanks in advance :) - Nyck
Hi Nyck, thanks for your question. While I could never put a 100% guarantee on any authenticity myself, I personally would gladly buy a designer piece from Designer Exposure. I know that the owner Maria Williams visits the sources directly in their homes (these sources include everyone from Hollywood actresses to Spanish royalty) and picks through only the best pieces to resell. I have been to their flagship store in Auckland, so can safely say they are legit! I also know they spend a lot of time researching and authenticating so I think if you are after vintage designer online, they will be a safer bet than many other vintage resellers (especially those on eBay). However, as with anything you buy online, there are always risks in not being able to see, touch, and inspect. But also bear in mind Designer Exposure have a very good returns policy, if you are still worried. Hope this helps!
