Jemma Ruddock, designer at Reiss
Reiss consistently offers one of the best accessory ranges on the high street, and we think its incoming A/W 2013 collection of bags and jewellery pieces is particularly strong. With an emphasis on gorgeous, graphic print, there are some beautifully designed scarves that pick up key pieces from the clothing range. These sit alongside a line of streamlined, classic bags and belts; together they form the perfect base for your transitional wardrobe.

Jemma Ruddock is a key accessory designer within the Reiss team, and is responsible for the conception of some of our most-wanted pieces. We spoke to Jemma to find out about her own accessory arsenal, and to gain an insight into what an industry expert carries with her from day to day.

What's in her bag?

In Her Bag: Jemma Ruddock of Reiss

Name: Jemma Ruddock
Occupation: Accessories Designer

Personal style: I like to dress in feminine but fairly casual clothes; I'm usually drawn to quite simple pieces with detail or texture.

The Bag: My bag is the ALMA bag from the REISS AW13 collection. I love the colour as an alternative to black; the leather is super-soft and it's the perfect size for everyday use.

The purse/wallet: My current purse is the FLYNN from the AW13 collection. I'm enjoying using larger wallets at the moment and this particular style is brilliant for storage space and all those receipts!

The Gadgets: I'm never without my iPhone or paper diary, which is old-school I know - but even in a digital world it's still something I like to write in and keep on me!

Beauty Products: I can't live without Chanel Universal bronzer: it's pretty much perfect on all skin types and is great in the summer as an alternative to foundation. I've used it for years and seriously recommend investing. My fragrance is Colonia by Aqua di Palma: it's fresh, elegant, natural and timeless.

The rest: As an accessories designer I like to carry a selection of jewellery in my bag, usually a statement cuff to add to an outfit last-minute.
