Yesterday was a bit of a high-spot for the editorial team here at The Bag Lady, as the lovely people at the Cambridge Satchel Company invited us to join them for the launch of their brand new bricks and mortar pop-up store, based in Short's Gardens, Covent Garden...

camsatchelcolaunch.jpg As you'd expect from such a fun and youthful brand it was a quirky and laid back event, complete with chocolates, fizz and mini satchels made of jelly. Sophie Ellis-Bextor turned up to DJ, looking absolutely stunning in a white lace dress, while guests got the chance to enjoy the brand's current and new collection items - as well as pieces from the collaborations with Disney and Basso & Brooke.

The company's heritage as a small business supported by a community of bloggers was strongly evident at the event, which counted among its guests the likes of Danielle from FashionistaBarbieUK, Jai'me Jan of Boy Meets Fashion and Grace from Moda de la Mode. And as if to say thank you to all the blogging stars who helped them out in the early days, the entire downstairs area of the store has been designated a 'Bloggers' Lounge' which will be open throughout the duration of London Fashion Week, providing a quiet space where posts can be written away from the throng of Somerset House.

The store will be open seven days a week, and you'll find it in the heart of Seven Dials at
15 Shorts Gardens, Seven Dials, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9AT. And for an extra special Valentine's Day treat, the store is offering free embossing for anyone who picks up a satchel in store today only, 14 Feb! Bloggers are also welcome to use the Bloggers' Lounge during Fashion Week, where refreshments will be provided by Lavazza.

Here's a quick video clip showing the store as it looked on its opening night:
