Designer vs. The High Street: Hermes Birkin and Missguided Kayda
Of all the designer bags that we see dupes of on the high street, the Hermes Birkin is most often seen. Perhaps it's because the real thing is so expensive. Or maybe it's because it's a fairly unique and easy to copy style. But very few high street or budget brands manage to pull it off perfectly. Mainly because Hermes use such beautiful and high quality fabrics.
This time, it's Missguided.com that have taken on the luxury brand with their Kayda Padlock bag. At first glance, the purple version above (next to the red authentic Hermes) looks like a great copy. On closer inspection, the clasp style is fairly different, and the lining is a big giveaway. But as far as being a dedication to the original style, it's really not bad. Especially at the price of £26.99. I'd certainly be tempted to pick this one up! Unfortunately as it's online, I can't vouch for the quality of the materials.
What do you think about this dupe? Close enough on a budget?
