screenshot163.jpgFashion collaborations that support a good cause are always something we're interested in at The Bag Lady. This is especially the case when the results are so pretty. So we were excited to hear that Burt's Bees and Richard Weston have combined forces to create the 'Wild For Bees' collaboration. The collaboration has been created to raise awareness and funds for 'the plight of the honey bee in the UK and the work of the British Beekeeprs Association and the Adopt A Beehive project.

I have a huge fear of bees and wasps, but I'm also very aware that honey bee numbers are dwindling - which isn't just bad news for the buzzy race. Honey bees support a lot of the wildlife around us, so it's really important that we work to help the honey bees.

So, Richard Weston has created a beautiful print inspired by meadows and nature in general. The print can be seen on the Burt's Bees 24 Hour Milk & Honey Body Lotion, along with on the special edition silk scarf Richard has produced for the brand.

He explained:

"I was delighted to collaborate with Burt's Bees to raise awareness of the plight of the bee. My designs are continually influenced by nature and bees are a very important part of the environment as they are precious pollinators. My scarf design features bees and bee friendly plants in a modern and striking print. This project can really help in making people aware of the BBKA and the support they give beekeepers who manage colonies of honey bees"

The limited edition scarf and lotion set is £170 at burtsbees.co.uk. All of the money from the scarf will go to the British Beekeepers Association Adopt a Beehive project.
