katemiddleton_catherine_diamond_jubilee.jpg While some might have considered Kate Middleton's red outfit to Sunday a bit of a thunder stealer, we loved it. Kate managed to look both ladylike and stylish in her red Alexander McQueen dress, and the red Sylvia Fletcher hat quite literally topped off the look. According to our sister site Catwalk Queen, the Sylvia Fletcher hat is from James Lock & Co. The closest available online is the 'Applause' style.

While I understand why some might say going for red, rather than some of the other muted colours, could look like she was overshadowing the Queen, Kate is in a tricky position. Whatever she wears, she gets a lot of press attention - and everyone wants to know what she's wearing. At least she's gone for British designers!

What do you think? Has Kate done us proud, or should she have toned it down? Let us know in the comments below!
