Recognise this necklace? If you were born in the 90s, this was the necklace that had millions of us swooning over the Tiffany brand. The Elsa Peretti For Tiffany necklace was THE necklace to wear. Sadly, it could soon become a thing of the past, because Peretti is considering ending her licensing agreement with Tiffany. Tiffany have tried to buy the rights to Peretti's intellectual property, but it looks like they might be unsuccessful.
Apparently her designs are still hot property - accounting for 10% of Tiffany's sales in 2009, 2010 and 2011. So it seems a shame for the partnership to end.
It's reported that Tiffany made an offer to buy Peretti's intellectual rights, but if the deal falls through the two parties may consider going their separate ways.
