With such a cult following it was only a matter of time before someone decided to create a tribute to the Olympia Le-Tan book clutches. The clutches have sold out extremely quickly, no doubt picked up by fashion fans and literary fans alike! They're not cheap though, at a pricey £995 (they're beautiful, detailed embroided pieces, so no mass producing here).
ASOS have taken the concept of a book clutch and gone for something a little more simple. At the much more purse-friendly price of £25, you can get this simple book-style clutch in blue or sage green.
Interestingly, a quick look through The Bag Lady archives reveals that this style is more of a slow-burner than you'd think - with the first book clutch coming out in late 2010.
Which do you prefer - the detailed designer book clutch from Olympia Le-Tan, or the simple Book Clutch from ASOS?
You can buy the Olympia Le-Tan from Net-A-Porter (when they're back in stock) and the Book Clutch from ASOS.
