London based artist, and award-winning designer, Emma Ware is the brains and talent behind new jewellery brand 'Ware'.
Having been in business for just 18 months, Ware jewellery has already received an overwhelming response from the public, and has established a loyal fan base - pivotal to the success of any new fashion designer. Her unique pieces have been seen on the MoBo red carpet, on "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here", in Timeout NY, and 125 magazine, as well as numerous blogs across the web (now including The Bag Lady!)
With a background in fine and applied arts, Emma creates some visually stunning accessories, some of which would be just as suited to an art gallery as they would a body. Her Re:Cycle collection is sculptural but tactile and completely wearable, taking jewellery design into a new realm; in fact my boyfriend who prefers large pieces of jewellery, stated that they wouldn't look out of place on a futuristic fashion set, and I have to agree. If this is the way jewellery design is headed then count me in!
Not only is each Ware piece a one off design, they're produced with a sustainable and ethical perspective. All of the jewellery in the Re:Cycle collection is hand sculpted from reclaimed rubber and chain, which soften and bends to your body temperature, molding to your body shape to create a truly unique look. Our favourite is the luxurious 'Oh' necklace - at £138 it's the most beautiful piece of art we've ever wanted to wear! You can also choose from a gold plated chain with gold tinted finish, or burnished steel chain with a bronze and sweep of white finish.
Of course, you don't have to take our word for it - take Emma's! She recommends making an appointment at her North East London workshop to try on a Ware creation, as they need to be seen and touched to be fully appreciated. You can email the studio with any questions, via mail@emmaware.co.uk
