As much as we love a Mulberry bag here at The Bag Lady, sometimes the price is just out of our budget.
The Alexa is by far one of the most sought-after styles, so we were rather pleased to spot this fairly good copy on a new bargain bag website. A-Shu have created the Leather-Effect Tan Satchel on the right, in the style of the classic Mulberry Alexa style below.
It doesn't quite have the boxy shape of the Alexa, but the other details are pretty spot on.
And at £23.99, it's definitely a more affordable option.
The question is, is it better to save up for the real thing?
I think there's a big difference between tributes and copies, and this falls into the latter. I think I'd fear, on a very shallow level, that someone would spot it's not an authentic Mulberry and turn their nose up.
