One of the downfalls about living in the UK, is that you're rarely more than a few days away from a rainstorm. We're a nation that's always prepared, and carries an umbrella in their handbag, as well as a pair of sunglasses. And yet somehow, there's always an occasion when we leave it at home/on the bus/at work.
There are plenty of cheap and cheerful umbrellas around. But we think that if you're going to carry something around for most of the year, it may as well be pretty as well as practical. Plus, the cheaper ones tend to be the first ones to blow inside out when the wind picks up.
