Kate Middleton is Queen of the clutch!
Ever since THAT fairy tale wedding, Kate Middleton has rarely left the headlines - or our fashion radar! The Duchess of Cambridge has the Midas touch (or the 'Kate effect' as it's known in the office) when it comes to her outfit choices, with dresses, coats, shoes and bags selling out within minutes of her sporting them at events. In her early years as Prince Williams fiancé, Kate played it safe with her conservative yet classic style, though few of those pre-royal day nerves remain after wearing that stunning Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress. Kate has shown the world that she has fresh attitude towards fashion, mixing overall elegance with edgy details and her high street favourites (Zara, Whistles and LK Bennett) with fashion forward designers like Issa, Orla Kiely and more Alexander McQueen!
Part of being a member of the royal family means having to attend all manner of pesky dinners, balls and award ceremonies, and to each event, Kate has blown critics away with her sophisticated fashion sense and down to earth styling. Whether she's on tour, at a party, or on the red carpet, Kate loves accessorising with clutch bags - the question is, what does she keep in there?! We've seen a number of clutches used over and over again, in particular the 'Natalie' straw number from her favourite store, LK Bennett, which has now sold out of the pretty bag. As well as favouring gold and nude coloured clutches, Kate has an obsession with black clutch bags in various shapes and sizes; from tubes and framed pieces, to the velvet bow clutch made for her by Spanish designer, Jaime Mascaró.
As well as being a fashion icon to women across the globe, we've named Kate our Queen of the clutch - long may she reign!
