She may be better known as the queen of wrap dresses and doyenne of prints, but Diane Von Furstenberg is fast becoming the go-to designer for amazing colourblocking too. Her New York Fashion Week show was chock full of artful colour combinations, showing a more sophisticated way to pair up shades than the last few seasons' obsession with clashing jewel shades.

But the obsession with matching up colours in chic new ways started long before that, and is evident in these bags from the season before, which hide flashes of bold colour in zipped sections, easily concealed if you want something more classic.

Matches stock the bag (the 'Mandy') in a small cream, pink and grey version for £453 or a larger grey, orange and cream for £530.
