This week's Frugal Friday is a little different, as we look at the sad news that Peacocks may be going into administration. We've often featured Peacocks on this Frugal Friday feature, as they're quick to take on upcoming trends and inspiration from designers and created bags that are pocket money friendly. With a partnership with Pearl Lowe, and a beautiful range of retro dresses that have been spotted on many a celeb, it's something of a surprise that they're going into administration.
In fact, when I tweeted about this a number of people replied with their surprise. Many of them have switched from Primark to Peacocks in the last year.
The interesting thing is, Peacocks are actually doing well in terms of trading. They're in trouble because the banks are chasing after the £577m borrowings.
Hopefully someone will buy them out and turn things around, as there's definitely room for this chain on the high street.
