Last week, we looked at bumbags, which seem to be either great for the elderly or kids on holiday. Overall though, it got the thumbs down.
A lot of the discussions we've had on yay or nay have been over a style is too childish for proper grown ups (I'm still waiting to become one of those grown ups. I'm 26). The animal hats we featured a few weeks ago were given a thumbs up, so we're clearly not completely resistant to a bit of fun in our accessories. But how about mittens?
They're great for keeping fingers warm, and if you have a pair with the string that loops them together through your coat, you'll never leave them on the bus or train.
On the other hand, they're rubbish for texting or using with a touch screen phone. And while attached mittens on a 5-year-old is cute, I'm not entirely sure I'd pull off the same look.
I'm currently sitting in the middle ground, with a pair of fingerless gloves with a mitten section that pulls over them or can be fixed to the back.
But what about you? Do you give mittens a yay or a nay?
