louis-vuitton-spring-2012.jpgTransparency and visibility were the key concepts at Louis Vuitton's S/S 12 catwalk show, and nowhere was this more apparent than in the accessories. Tote bags modeled on wire shopping baskets appeared alongside icons made up in white mesh, creating a sheer, light impression that ran throughout the show.

This airy colour palate made for a very spring-like spring collection, with raindrop blues and daffodil yellows. We liked the artful re-workings of the classic styles, particularly the mesh top-handler pictured centrally above.

Silver notes in the accessories were picked up in the shoes and garments, as well as on the ultra shiny, pearlised floor of the runway. It felt a little bit like an April shower had taken place during the show, and the models even had matching umbrellas to complete the look. This was an uplifting and charming show and the accessories really shone.
