What is a 'big orange bag' you may well wonder? Well, if we hadn't had our eyes firmly fixed on the bags proceeding down the catwalk for the past three or four seasons, we might well have asked the same question. But orange is a huge accessories colour, and most designers from Marc Jacobs to Miu Miu have had it as a prominent feature in many of their recent collections.
Bags in shades of tangerine from Mulberry, Michael Kors and Bottega Veneta and others are currently Selfridges' most sought after styles, according to the store, which is celebrating record sales over double last year's figures on premiums handbags. Here are a few of the orange bags we spotted at the recent London Fashion Week shows:

Sadly for the average shopper, the bag that Selfridges are suggesting you invest in costs an eye-watering £2,650. But let's face it, this is a concept it's not hard to take away and find elsewhere. We're big fans of the following big orange bags (with much smaller price tags!):
