Marni is always one to watch for handbags, and this season's collection in Milan was no exception. Big, bright and bold with lots of visually interesting texture, it had all the usual Marni hallmarks, and then some.

We loved the scaled-up feeling of the clutch bags, many of which were based on the silhouettes of old-fashioned purses. Brogue detailing was used on many of the pieces, echoing the shoes used throughout the runway show, and these created a pretty and decorative theme.

Elsewhere, giant weaving was used to create texture and pattern on the larger clutches. The contrast created by the shiny leather strands gave the feeling of 60s-style moquette. The colour were juicy and bright with some pastel ice-cream shades clashing with bright cherry and peach tones. A truly delicious collection!
