eBay is an increasingly popular hang-out for those on the hunt for designer swag, and it's well worth taking a look there at the moment if you're after a classic handbag with a bit of a twist. The site has teamed up with the Campaign for Wool and Harvey Nichols, to create a charity auction featuring big-name bags made from luxury wool, and the results are amazing: can you imagine your favourite designer bag made up in wool?
Alexander McQueen, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Christian Louboutin, Anya Hindmarch, Smythson, Sang A and Quentin McKay have all produced a once-in-a-lifetime bag for the auction, which goes live today. We're surprised at just how beautiful some of the creations have turned out: in particular, check out the woollen version of the McQueen skull clutch, pictured above: it's a gorgeous, quirky variant on the original, and the wool gives it a warm feel for winter. The auction for this particular piece can be found here.

We also adore this version of Anya Hindmarch's Huxley in wool: a really rich and tactile version of the bag that really looks like it's come straight off the sheep! Fs raised will be donated to the Prince's Countryside Fund - a unique collaboration of brands and businesses working together to secure a sustainable future for British agriculture and the wider rural economy.
