Those who have bags on the brain tend to notice what other people are carrying, and over a number of years it's easy to get a picture of what bag types your friends and family tend to favour. I've found that hobo fans tend to stick with hobo styles time and again, while those who prefer smaller handbags seldom stray from their preferred petite pieces.
All this got me thinking it would be interesting to conduct a poll of what handbag type you tend to default to. Most of the major retailers, from designer to high street, now seem to cover most bag 'silhouettes', so it's quite easy to find a shape that suits you and stick to it:
