It looks like Mulberry's financial stock rose just as quickly as their fashion stock when the brand embraced muse Alexa Chung. Thanks to a stock that rose 527% in the past year, the brand has been named the best performing retailer selling luxury apparel by Bloomberg.
The brand's Alexa range - four handbags inspired by and worn to death by Alexa herself - accounts for 30% of the company's sales. Prices start at £525 for a Mini Alexa, rising to £3,750 for a large version made from ostrich leather.
Mulberry's star has been in ascendant throughout the recession, and seems invincible. The question is - how much higher can it get?
