Let's be honest: as we watched the Royal Wedding procession on our screens this weekend, we all became a little bit fascinated by Princess Beatrice's unorthodox Philip Treacy fascinator. What was it meant to be? Why was it so huge? What possessed her to wear it to such a high profile occasion?
Questions like these need answering, and to that end, a Facebook page has been set up; dedicated to getting to the bottom of this epic wardrobe fail.
Bea's hat has now become an internet sensation, and its facebook page alone has now racked up over 123,675 hits. Helpful suggestions as to the hat's significance have so far included: "It's Royal Gaga" and "maybe it was "revenge" for not inviting her Mother". Knowing the sort of family trauma that weddings tend to incite, I'm actually quite inclined to go with that last one.
Others have 'celebrated' Bea's millinery mishap with some amusing photoshop mock-ups of her hat. Check them out here.
One thing we can say for sure is that this look will not be catching on *touches wood*!
