Trends will always come and go but there are a few that I'll always have a soft *ahem* spot for regardless of whether they're "in", and one of them is polka-dots. Add a few big ones to any accessory and I'm guaranteed to look twice, so when those glorious splodges are incorporated by a design talent like Marc Jacobs I'm in handbag heaven!

There was certainly a lot for us to get excited about in MJ's recent runway show here at The Bag Lady. Beautifully structured vintage-style top-handlers were a big feature of the collection, each rendered in exquisitely treated leather. The shine on the red version was simply dazzling and the pebbled finish on the black lent heaps of interest.

Another prominent feature of the collection was the abundance of dyed fleece, which added a note of cheekiness and fun. These were held against spotty patterned dresses for a clashing pattern effect that made our heads spin just a little.
