Prada went in for an interesting new 'innovation' on the runways this season: we'll come to the designs in a minute, but most immediately notable was the fact that the models were carrying the bags on their sides - squishing them under their arms instead of using the more conventional handles.
It's almost a shame they went for this odd runway gimmick, as the bags themselves are rather beautiful and don't really need to be displayed in any other way than the one we've come to expect. The 'squishing' does, I suppose, show off the soft, suppleness of the leather (which is breathtaking!) but I'd quite like to see these bags carried via the normal method in future.
Also appearing in the collection was a range of clutches with oversized buttons, dog tags and giant-scale exotic skin prints. These complement their bright colour-block concept for the autumn wardrobe very nicely, and look cute at whatever angle they are carried!
