Ever since Alexander McQueen and Bottega Veneta made hard-cased minaudière-style box clutches a must-have accessory again, they've been cropping up red carpets of a thousand glamorous events. Fortunately for the everyday shopper, they've been appearing on shop shelves too, so you can bring them along to your own glamorous events, too.
Here's a selection of McQueen and non-McQueen clutches that we've spotted and fallen for in recent weeks. Top left is, of course, the original snakeskin Skull box clutch from the late design genius, currently on sale at Brown's for the princely sum of £930. Cheryl Cole was carrying something akin to this style at last night's Brits.
The long, faux-snakeskin clutch pictured top right is currently on sale at Accessorize for £35, and it reminds us just a little of McQueen's cherry blossom python skull clutch, bottom left, which is not currently on sale.
Another good way to get the look is with French Connection's Poppy Love box clutch (bottom right) which is £52. It has the added advantage of a long chain for those times when clutching becomes a bit of a chore...
