To be honest with you, Fendi has never been my favourite designer. Well, designers if we're getting technical. It's not that I dislike the brand, in fact I have a lot of respect for the family business that started life as a leather specialist shop in Rome, not least because they hired the talented Karl Lagerfeld who went on to create the iconic 'F' logo, which is still the companies signature design today. Despite my reservations over their handbags, I may have accidentally found myself drooling over the Forever Boston this morning!
The barrel shaped bag is a real Fendi classic, with so many elements working in harmony to create the perfect luxury bag. The 'inverted F' clasps on the handles, the subtle monogram fabric, the high quality hardware...it all works, but it's the additional studded hardware that really sets it apart from the crowd. The studded detailing help transform this day-to-day bag into an evening worthy accessory, and would look equally great teamed with jeans and a blazer or sky high chunky heels and a biker jacket. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your view on too much shopping) the FB Fendi is currently sold out everywhere! Keep an eye on the Saks Fifth Avenue website and keep your fingers crossed for replenishment...
