Judith Leiber has done it again, creating an unthinkably expensive work of portable art, this time in the form of a cuddly panda bear. Has she perhaps been inspired by the popularity and prevalence this Christmas of these hats?
Either way, I know which one I'm more likely to be giving my niece as a present this year; the Leiber clutch is ruinously expensive as usual, and just as predictable as the price is the fact that it has inexplicably sold out within hours.
I mean...we do love you, Judith, and we know that animal motifs are the big hit of the season. But this one really does look like it would be better placed on a Christmas tree.
